    Youtube is generally shit for snares for some weird compression reasons, the 320/flac sounds proper. I also believe they were doing a tribute to Suicide (punk band from the late 70's) with the first track, that kinda explains the rhythm section setup. The idea is to make it sound punchy.

    The snare sounds distorted only on the first track btw. The snare at the part that comes at 40:10ish sounds normal for example.
