Friends and family know what I listen to. No one else ever asks.
I think the last time I had a conversation like that was at a concert so I was asked by like-minded people anyway.

I did actually hit it off with a random stranger in college who later became one of my best friends because we discovered we had similar preferences when it came to music (which led to some other conversations where we discovered we had all kinds of common interests).

But yeah. For the most part, people don't ask.

It's... it's beautiful. Everything connected, every riff and melody.

A few years ago I had a really attractive woman comment on a Asphyx shirt while I was in Best Buy. I just said, "that's cool" and walked away. About halfway through the parking lot I realized the opportunity I missed and wanted to kick myself.

But most of the time it's, "Ewwww, I hate screamo!"

I had a CD signed by the guys in Asphyx at a burger bar in Chicago. They were very drunk and asked if I was going to flash them- I wasn't. It was all in good fun though and I ate a burger called "Plague Bringer", afterward they gave me a t-shirt.

Later on my husband spilled bleach on the shirt and ruined it. But yea, Asphyx are cool.

An extremely underrated gem



Avant-folk, post-rock, electronic, ambient, drone black metal. Really sexy fusion of a plethora of genres. Reminds me a bit of Murmuure.

Relistening to some bm classics from the past decade, I have no words to express how much this record means to me.

It has arrived. My anus was NOT ready. They have sacrificed some caverncore elements and installed some atmospheric keys and stuff.

All in all, it's a spooky and helluva entertaining record. The first 5 tracks are really great, but it seems obvious they ran out of ideas by the last 2, at least that was my experience.

It's alright, I enjoy Nightwing and Panzer Division Marduk the most, oldschool Marduk is the best with Legion on vocals. Saw them live with Deicide in 2001 and they were great.

Nightwing is also definitely my favorite album but that Frontschwein is very good.
