Almost every chick I know says that they think it's ugly and that it's just something they do for the hell of it.
Kinda like dudes throwing an ugly ass face/pose even though they know it looks completely stupid.

They're probably going for "kissy-face" or "make my lips look plump".
Some are better at those than others. Some people are technically doing the same kind of thing but don't get quite so... duck-y.
And sadly I'm sure some are getting ducky on purpose, since it's now a trend.

lawl. its ugly as hell, i agree on that but on the other hand i mostly do way worse faces on pictures. mostly cuz i wanna mess with my gf since shes all serious with taking pics.
