sound through computer?

Hi i play on WoW on my HDTV via HDMI through my laptop and whenever its plugged in its played through the tv speakers, is there anyway to make it play through computer speakers instead?

If using Windows 7, go into your control panel. Once inside, click on the "sound" category. This should launch a window that displays all of your current sound devices. There should be at least 2, one being your HDMI Output (TV) and the others your speakers. Select your speakers, and click the "Set Default" button just to the left of properties. That should solve your issue.
