    summoning warlock pets 4.0.1

    would someone answer these questions.

Demo- i know you use bane of doom. this will summon a demon guardian. so now now you have "2 pets"

#1 are you able to summon a inferno / doomgard? (or is a doomgard summoned by CoD?)

#2 If you are allowed to have those "2pets(felgard, demon guardian)" can you then summon a inferno and or doomgard?

#3 can you have all 4(i think) at once ( felgard , demon guardian, inferno, doomgard)

#4 if you cant have a inferno and doomgard summoned at the same time. what one does more dps? (does it depend on spec?)

    1) Both share a 10 minute cooldown. You can summon either depending on the fight.

    2) Yes

    3) Refer back to 1, but yes you can have 3 pets active at once.

    4) Infernal on aoe, Doomguard on single target iirc.

1# They are exclusive of each other and share the same cd. (CoD summons a imp-like demon who melees)
2# You can have your normal pet, the demon guardian from CoD and one real demon guardian Infernal or Doomguard.
    3# no, see #2
4# single target Doomguard roughly 50k damage for the summon, more than one mob Infernal because of the fire aura (on single 45k damage for the summon)

    edit: too slow :/

so let me get this straight cause im confused as hell right now

so we start the fight as a demonology warlock with a felguard
Cod summons a demon guardin which looks like a imp?
When that happens we do a summon inferno or summon doomguard

    Correct?

And btw, is inferno summoned same was as now and how is doomguard now summoned?

Treat the Infernal/Doomguard as a long term cooldown such as Heroism. In fact, save it for Heroism.

What will happen is when you summon it, it will appear and beat on your BoD/BoA target. They are both an instant cast summon, no need for groups. If I recall, they're also off the global cooldown. Your current Demon is not dismissed by their appearence. Furthermore, the Felguard may not always be the most appropriate Demon for a fight.

The Ebon Imps from the Bane of Doom are completely seperate, and attack the target under that spell's effect and may or may not proc as BoD damage ticks. Again, their appearence does not dismiss your current pet or Infernal/Doomguard guardian.

The doomguard is more single target, while the infernal is more aoe orientated.
That will tend to determine which is more applicable for any given fight.
