man that place at 9:23 looks like the place where Lelouch sees C.C as a child in her memories, am i the only one who thinks this?
also the fact that C.C is so happy makes me think Lelouch ended up surviving , because if he didn't she would be alone again and would need to find a new contractor.

Well that's your opinion on Vandread while in my case i;ve seen it over 4 times from start to finish. It's funny and use of gender cliches was a nice touch IMO. Though i will agree that Blassreiter has it's good and bad moments i liked it overall. As for Linebarrel yeah i really liked it though i don't think it;s the best i've ever seen.
Loved this movie, best anime movie in my opinion altought the end was indeed a bit frostrating >.> but still nice- Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke)
trailer. unlike most anime i like, this one could also be watched by a much younger audience (although there's a lot of violence).
the story is about the struggle and war between human "civilization" and the forces of nature. the hard working citizens of a mining town seek to destroy a great forest to get the natural resources, while the animals and their ancient gods want to protect the forest and hate everything that is human. neither side is really "good" or "bad" though and there are a few others (most importantly the leading characters Ashitaka and Princess Mononoke) who get swept up in the war.
overall good story and characters, although the end was disappointing in my personal opinion.
What do you mean "stay way"? That's the best kind of anime, the one that totally fucks with your mind, the one that actually makes you think and feel something, not just watch panties all the time >_>
If you really want to enjoy anime, try watching Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Bakemonogotari, Ego Proxy, even Blame, if you can handle it. Or do Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Jigoku Shoujo, Noir, Phantom and Chaos;Head if you want something more... mild.
Eitgher way I think it's the best you can get out of anime, since you you want dumb fighting, you have whole hollywood making that. Sure, comedy is nice once in a while, but it's so hard to find a good one that will not go the retarder route.

For good mental one i believe you are forgetting Serial Experiments Lain and one of my personal favorites(though it is more a psychological horror than an influential/deeply thought out series) Betterman is it's name and i found it quite enjoyable.
But yes i agree anime that makes you think is quite nice and sadly becoming more and more rare. I too also say if you just want sex an violence you have Hollywood for that.
Other than what you listed might i ask if you can mention any other series you think would work well for this quality. If you wish you can utilize my sig to see what i have seen already but it your choice.
Also consider that she says "geass brings solitude.. but I guess that's not quite accurate". I think you could almost interpret that as her directly saying that he was not alone --> not dead. But enough has been said. I also like the point you made that CC is happy... It has been mentioned already that Orange was smiling after Zerozaku leapt off him, so I think this is also a good indicator.

Well, if you want more well phased anime I can suggest some. This ones are not so much "what the hell just happened", but still very well worth watching: Haibane Renmei, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, Kurozuka and Gunslinger Girl both seasons. Also maybe Black Lagoon, Fate/Stay Night, Nana, Angel Beats and Azumanga, for a bit more pop titles, but still good ones.

rin isnt that crazy compared to a lot of other anime titles...although it does have a lot of...romance? lol
yeah Linebarrel is cool
my new avatar is from the manga lol
Seen azumanga and gunslinger girls first season. But yeah alot of those are already on my to watch list(black lagooon i actually have the tin box sets of) Oh and when you say tsukihime do you mean the one based on the VN or Moonphase?

I still wish he'd stayed all hero of justice even if just a few more episodes. I liked how he went nuts in the Linebarrel at first.
Not sure what you mean there, but I was talking about the one based on Tsukihime manga or to be even more specific, this anime.
Yeeeah it;s based on avisual novel as is the manga if one exists(not doubting you just saying i'd never heard of it). Thing is most of the VN fans even deny this series existence. It's one of those running jokes at this point where they say it doesn't exist because it so heavily butchered there VN .
I'm still kinda lost, but than again I've never been interested in anything apart from anime, neither manga nor games. All I can say is that Tsukihime is an excellent example of how one can fit more content in 12 episodes that you'll find in whole naruto series together.
Well then i'm guessing the shorthand VN kinda misses it's mark. Visual Novel is basicallya playable novel one VERY famous example in the states is bible black it was based off of a VN however not all VN's are porn Clannad, the higurashi series and many many other anime series are based off of them. Among a few others is School days and one of the more recent series(damn can't remember it;s name) that had multiple story arcs each with a different female is also based on one as is Fate Stay Night. Thus VN can eventually sprout in multiple media formats as seen with series like the one you mentioned and fate stay night to say the least. Even series like Da Capo and Shuffle were VN first.
So yeah that's what i was saying look at this series as what say america did to dragonball in a fans eyes.
Read previous pages on Code Geass :P
They left a lot of stuff in there that would make you think and hope he's alive, which is great. She's not alone for sure -> World of C.
@ sagan-man. Well it's not like what the director said is untrue. I liek that to be honest, why you chose to ignore him is beyond me :P

All great anime, watched them all and loved em all... dunno why people don't like these, like it's been said, it's this kind animes that make you think about stuff!
Watching Welcome to the N.H.K. and I quite like it.....I'm somewhat similar to the main character.
