Do not apply if you only want to wave your banhammer at random people. Moderators are expected to post on the forums they moderate regularly, contribute, keep the sticky posts clean and updated, etc ...

Unfortunately many moderators at the moment do not meet this criteria. The moderating on the forum is so inconsistant at times, one guy could get banned for "U Mad bro?" the next guy is untouched. There seems to be a "whether mods have had their coffee" factor to the moderation which isn't really the best way. With this recruitment drive you should take the time to overhaul the forum rules and enforce them, this shouldn't be 4chan but at the same time people shouldn't be scared of bans because of incorrect grammar.

There is an extensive rule system already in place. Spouting memes like "u mad bro?" and "cool story bro" is against the rules.

On the other extreme, nobody is getting banned for incorrect grammar, and if they were they could submit a ban appeal and have it overturned easily.
