Heya MMO-Champ community, just have a simple question for anyone using an overclocked i7 or i5 processor.
How does your WoW run on it compared to when your processor is running at its normal speed?
I overclocked my i7 3 times at different speeds and tried wow, every time i tried i found my fps had reduced itself down to 2/5-3/5 of what it would normally run which is seeming rather odd, the computer itself was running stable at all three speeds.
Im using an i7 870 stock speed 2.93Ghz and OC'd it to: 3.85Ghz, 4Ghz and 3.5Ghz.
Currently running it at 3.5Ghz and its getting low fps (29+ depending on how populated the area is, 29 is the lowest, averaging 44-63 in semi dense areas and 90-120 in rather open areas), its playable at all levels but the drop is frames very noticable (from 120 in TB to 30).
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and worked out a solution or not.
Thank you in advance for any help <3
Mike.
