To be 100% honest, mine wasn't bought for gaming. Will I be using it for that often? Yes. Building an over the top PC like this has been something akin to my life's dream. I just so happened to come across the money to do so. As for storage, I have a 12TB Fileserver that I use for storage.

Yeah guys, let's try to keep the larger images out of the thread. My general rule in the forum (mentioned a few times, but not posted anywhere, which is why nobody's getting infractions) is 800px wide max. If you use imgur.com, you can feel free to use their "large thumbnail" option.
Finally, let's have a little less bitching about how other people spend their money. If I want a $4000 computer to browse the web on, that's on me (and I wish I had the money to do that, lol). Feel free to discuss each other's systems, but the whole "omg! you have <x> and <y> just for WoW?" has to stop.
System specs:
Cooler Master Centurion 590
AMD Phenom II X2 560 BE 3.3GHz @ 3.8GHz
ASUS M4N68T-M
GigaByte SuperB 550W
Corsair 2x 2GB XMS3
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB
Western Digital 500GB Caviar Black 3.5" SATA
Western Digital 250GB Scorpio 2.5" SATA (Stripped from my notebook)
Random ass DVD drive
Random ass WLAN PCI card
Razer DiamondBack 3G
Logitech G15 Keyboard
Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard
Logitech G35 7.1 (Not true 7.1, but sounds pretty good) Headset
Logitech X530 5.1 Speakers.
I don't feel like doing cable management. Will buy an aftermarket CPU cooler and 4 case fans in the near future.

Yea that's what I thought as regards to my PSU taking a hammering. I'll probably upgrade to 850W+ and put the 750W in a spare rig I have with a dodgy PSU (it blew a capacitor and I fixed it but it's making a suspect noise so I dare not use it. Seems to be coming from an Inductor).
I've been to watch 3D films and it's blown me away and if gaming turns out to be half as good I want! I'm waiting to see a demo of 3D gaming first before I decide whether to purchase or not.

ALl this 3D stuff damages your eyes. Its soo over rated as well - Example being the new DS , comes with a crap load of warning on prolonged 3d Viewing.

New system I'm building slowly piece by piece but it's getting there. Hopefully it will be finished by Valentines Day.
NZXT Phantom Black
Rosewill BRONZE Series RBR1000-M 1000W 80Plus Bronze Certified, Power Supply
ASUS Rampage III Extreme
Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield
CoolIT Systems VAN-R120 Vantage A.L.C. CPU Cooler
ASUS 24X DVD Burner Black SATA Model DRW-24B3LT LightScribe Support - OEM
2x Crucial Ballistix Smart Tracer 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory with Red/Green LEDs (12GB total)
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
Galaxy GeForce GTX 465 (Fermi)
So far I have the case and PSU. The Motherboard and DVD drive are on order and should be here on Monday. Processor and Cooler I will be ordering next week. And the memory the week after that. Graphics card I'm pulling from my current system since it's less than 6mos old. The HDD I will be getting either along with the memory or at least about the same time. The case has pretty good airflow but I might get a few more fans for it too in the future.
This is gonna be a big upgrade for me since my last PC is a HP Media center with a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and 3gb ram. (to embarrased to show pics of that ) It will also be the first PC I've build for myself since 1998. The last one I built was a Pentium2 and a 486DX266 before that. So hopefully everythinng will go smoothly.

There's probably an updated guide somewhere.
