Discreet sound cards have higher audio quality as well, but you have to have a good set of speakers/headphones and be a bit of an audiophile to notice it. Simulated surround sound in headphones(I can't stand it, but I'd imagine some people like it with it being a "feature" of just about any sound card out there)/other DSP effects can be another reason to get one.
sounds card do improve CPU performance, as the CPU no longer has to handle sound
If the software you're using supports hardware accelerated sound, otherwise no.

Other random peripherals such as an ancient Wacom Graphire 2, Canon Pixma MP480, SATA drive dock with a card reader, Cyperpower 900W UPS, crappy 2.1 Altec Lansing speakers I don't use 'cause my headphones are better, crappy steelseries mousepad, amazing 14 year old Montreal Canadiens mousepad, and a Dualshock 3 controller.
Overclock is low because the 2500K behaves very differently than it did on the P67A-G43. Pretty sure I don't even need the voltage that high for 4.2ghz (I had to do 1.25v on the G43 to keep it stable). Let this be a testament to bargain boards being all kinds of bad.
edit: 1.25v not 2.5 dear god
red panda red panda red panda!
zomg you're a regular! You know the rules! Pics or get called out for being bad! :P
Nah, but looks like a killer rig! I question though your Vertex 2 60GB SSD, I know OCZ has been putting out more lately where the difference is old crappy hardware in them, and the only way to tell them apart from the good ones of yesteryear is there's an 'E' in the name of the item on like newegg for instance. They're known to have data get corrupted/flat out die.

Used to be a different one.
If you notice these reviews, the newer ones, several are giving it horrible reviews. I just hope you have an older one or managed to get a good one. Would suck majorly!
@ Asera
1.25 doesn't sound *that* off... my chip in my P8P67 pro took 1.28v (according to CPU-Z) for 4.4GHz (200MHz + 0.03V higher than what you had)
Out of curiosity, how is the cooling with those Noctua fans on the 212? I've been thinking of doing the same setup on mine to try to drop the noise a bit from my dual Blademasters (I realize CPU temperatures are relative, just to get an idea)

MSI GT660 (Laptop)
CPU: Intel(R)Core i5-460m
VGA:Nvidia Geforce GTX 285M /1GB DDR3
LED Panel: 16" HD 1366x768 (Glare Type)
RAM: DDRIII 4GB (2GBx2)
HDD: 500GB 7200 RPM
RF: 802.11b/g/n
Now I don't know what everything is, but that's what was written on the scale. ^^
And I just realized, for my i5-2500K to hit 4.0GHZ on my P8P67 Rev 3.0 mobo, it takes a whopping 1.304V! Guess I won't be doing too much heavier OC'ing, sounds like I got a badderer chip and/or mobo. Eh, guess I should've put more money into the mobo. hehe
