    Green Lantern with Ryan Reynolds.

I'd say I'd give it a 7. A little more than above average. I mean it's not the best Green Lantern movie it definitely could've been better but it wasn't that bad like a lot of people say. I thought Ryan Reynolds did a great job as Hal Jordan and in fact I don't think I could see anyone else as Hal Jordan other than Ryan. The special effects were cool and I really liked the Green Lantern suits. The story was also pretty cool since Parallax was the main villain and he looked cool too. I think my only gripe with this movie was that there was too much focus on the relationship between Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris. I know she's supposed to be Hal Jordan's girlfriend who actually becomes Star Sapphire somewhere in the Green Lantern comics but there could've more Green Lantern stuff where there was the mushy romance scenes. BUT then again I took this movie more for a origin story showing how Hal Jordan first became a Green Lantern so of course there wasn't going to be a whole lot of Green Lantern action. That's where I think people don't fairly judge it because I think people expect the movie to have a whole bunch of stuff happening at once when really this is all about Hal Jordan's Green Lantern origin. Then again I am pretty new to the Green Lantern lore so maybe I didn't see something that the more hardcore Green Lantern fans saw. For me though, in all, I thought it was a good movie to introduce Green Lantern to new fans of him like me.

    Edit: Pacific Rim

I give it a 10. This movie was just so awesome and fun through and through. This movie just shows that a movie doesn't have to have an amazing story for it to be good. This is just a movie for pure entertainment. Giant mechs going up against giant aliens. Speaking of the mechs and aliens they looked awesome. I felt like they could've expanded this into an animated series. There's not much else to say other than how cool it was.

    Frozen: Like 9.9/10
I loved it, I loved the music, the visuals, the characters, the clothing (Disney is good for their costume porn!) and pretty much everything. Only minor gripe was that the story went a bit too fast, but they had to fit it into a feature-length film. Elsa was my favourite character, I love her and I love Idina Menzel. I really appreciate how the movie challenges various tropes on love too!

    Tangled: Also 9.9/10
Again, stunning visuals and character design, and very good at tugging on the heartstrings at times. Really interesting take on the relationship between Rapunzel and the witch, and what seems to me as a rather accurate depiction of an abusive relationship. These two films have gotten me reacquainted with Disney!

Finally saw Frozen today, 8/10. Everything was perfect for my taste except for the voice of the singer/actor lady who voiced Elsa (the snowqueen sister). She sounded old. Not as in, old lady old, but as in mom old, lady in 40s or something, made it very hard to believe that the character was young as supposed to be.

Lone Survivor. 9/10 Was an excellent movie! Haven't seen a war movie as good as it in a long time!

You wont be disappointed. For a "based on a true story" film, it had tons of character development, a good amount of action and a decent level of feels. I loved it. Solid 8/10

Lone survivor. 8/10. Great movie. Would have done 10/10 if Hollywood wouldn't have injected their propaganda into it though. The real story doesn't cover the goat herders scene at all

    The Wolf of Wall Street

    4/10
I give it three points for every hour of my life it tricked me into giving it, plus an extra one for Jonah Hill who tried super hard to make it bearable. The comedy was sophomoric at best, the story and characters were boring, uninteresting, one-dimensional scoops of vanilla film-making, and literally two hours could have been cut without consequence. You feel every second of the three-hour run time, making finishing the movie less an enjoyable, willing experience, and more a testament to your own resolve. Had this been a form of torture, I'm confident I could have lasted one more half-viewing at best before breaking.

The Wolf of Wall Street, 10/10

Enjoyed literally every second of this movie and wish it was even longer than it was!

I consider it the best non-animated movie I have ever seen. Loved the plot and was laughing countless of times, this was probably Jonah Hill's most hilarious role yet.

Insidious 2: Oh boy. It's pretty bad to go into a movie having pretty low overall hopes and STILL managing to be disappointed. While I was able to at least salvage a little entertainment out of the first one, this was just god awful. Seriously, 2/10.

    WTB quality horror movies.

The Wolf of Wall Street, 10/10, is one of those rare movies, great cast, acting, narrative line. I don't know why there are so many hipsters out there that love hating it...

Insidious 2, 1/10 The evil ghost gets killed by a freaking chair.

Escape Plan, 8/10, good ol' movie with a interesting concept and nothing over the top or wanna be sophisticated.

Underworld series 4/10 Leaving the plot holes aside (too many machine guns tend to do that to your script) It was incredibly cheesy, felt like some bad fan fiction, had it's moments in the 3rd movie.

    American Hustle - 7/10

The acting in this movie is great, and its def an era piece, but the plot itself isn't too exhilarating. I was a little bored at times but not enough for me to say its a boring movie.

I'm confused about whether or not Lone Survivor is a 2013 movie or a 2014 one.

    12 Years A Slave

As the first movie to ever literally make me break down in tears, with amazing acting, sound track, scenes, its filmed amazingly as well. 10/10 easy for me, and thats saying alot when I give a movie a 10/10

    Her 9/10

    12 Years a Slave 8/10

Thumbs up for both, but I guess maybe I was expecting something more from 12 Years. It definitely made me sick about man's inhumanity to man (and the fact that for so much of the New World's history chattel slavery was almost completely accepted by the powers that be), but I'm familiar with that feeling. The thing I give it most credit for making me feel was the sense of being trapped far behind enemy lines when Solomon arrived in the South. Lupita Nyong'o was awesome as Patsey, I hope she gets more good roles.

    About Time
    7/10

Was entertaining, but there's not much more to it. Not that funny.

    Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 - 7.5/10

The first movie was a total shock to me. I didn't know anyone personally who'd seen it so I "acquired" it out of curiosity. Ended up nearly pissing myself in laughter. It's like the comedy in the movie was tailor made for me. Hilarious subtleties, punny metaphors, completely unexpected lines. Awesome. Anyway, more relevantly, the second one completely lived up to my expectations for it. It had the same brilliant humor from the first one but this time around you kind of saw it coming. While the first installment had the benefit of being surprisingly charming, this one had expectations which led to reused jokes, humor and lines but it did well with what it had. Definite recommendation for a silly, funny film.

    Her - 9/10.
Great movie, I espescially like how it's futuristic, but within reason, nothing to shiny or alien like.

Enders Game. 6/10. It was cool but the ending was a copout. Why does everything have to be happy? or offer a chance at redemption? I'd of prefered it if they just manned up and made a kid commit genocide and that was it. Brutal but a better ending.

    Riddick (2013)

    5/10

    The innkeepers

had some people round and we wanted to watch a horror movie, so we looked what was available on sky, and saw this. basically nothing happens at all for the first 45mins as the film tries to build suspense, really badly. keeps trying to do fake jumpy moments, where you think its a ghost, but its just a cat, and just generally terrible acting throughout.

1/10, we turned it off in the end because we as just so bored and watched mama instead.

    Mama

    5/10

not a great horror film, wasn't scared during or after the film.
