    G15 Macro Issues

    Hi!

I'm trying to reinstall everything I use on my new setup and it turns out that an old bug I experienced with my G15/G11 macros on Vista also happens on Windows 7.

I work with my G15 macros, a lot, I use them for pretty much everything I do on the site and most of them are fairly long. The problem is, with recent versions of the G15 the longer macros seems to fail at some point.

For example, I usually have a keybind to link to images, it automatically types:
    http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2010/august/

But if I record this exact line, this is what I'll get:
    http:2010/august/champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2010/august/

Two things you have to know:
    • The macro works just fine if I just record "http://static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/images/news/", for some reasons it starts going emo with the 2010.
    • The macro works just fine if I record delays between key presses.

Any idea? I know I fixed it by downgrading my G15 software in the past but I'd rather figure out what's going wrong this time.

This may or may not help but it's a great place for windows7 answers and information.

Working fine for me (Win7, G15 up to date) using a macro. (Editted to remove the num lock comment. Numbers wouldnt have been pushed)
Cant post it though, as I had to make a new account and new people cant post links!

    Code:
    http:2010/august/champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2010/august/
Cant figure out why its repeating it though (the 2010/august/). Do you watch whats being pressed when your making it?

I tried making a macro on my G11 that types the image url, and it worked just fine. I'm using win7 32bit and the Logitech Key profiler v3.04.143

Can't give any good answers to the problem at hand, but can echo the sentiment that G15 drivers seem to be nuisance, more or less. Especially the profile switcher seems to be having a mind of it's own and I've had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers several times to revert my keyboards (G13 & G15 both plugged in) back to usable state.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.

Ok, just for future reference, The logitech 64-bit drivers are broken, those with 64-bit windows (both vista and 7), will need to downgrade to 2.01.227 for the macro's to work properly

The 32-bit drivers work just fine

It could be a 64bit only issue, makes sense. I'd really like to track down this bug because I'm pretty sure that at some point outdated software will break, but for the time being I reverted to the 2.01.227 64Bits of the Gamepanel Software and it seems to work on M2 and M3 (M1 still types random default keys at the beginning of each macro)

Edit: Wow, Ralth stole my post just because I mentioned it on IRC first. Rude.

Probably would have helped if I'd have said mine was 64bit 3.04.143, worked fine
