It wasn't even that bad. It wasn't great, but Duke never was. No, not even Time To Kill. You can't judge these games on a regular scale; they're an anomaly that exist within their own genre, and are made purely for people that already like Duke Nukem. Anyone expecting something groundbreaking had their nostalgia setting turned to Fever Dream.

Duke 3D was great. To a lesser extent, Zero Hour, Advance and Manhattan Project were all enjoyable, followed by the original 2 side scrollers.
Forever would have been fine as a budget title, it was certainly more enjoyable then Time to Kill and Land of the Babes and Critical Mass on the DS.
