I did extensive testing. It also seems to, but I wasn't able to confirm this, increase healing done to you by other targets. (Divinity was not in my spec for any of my testing).

IE: Priest heals me for 9.6k-9.8k. I get Conviction up, he now heals me for 10.2k - 10.7k.

I've been posting threads on the bug forum for 2 weeks now reporting this error. The threads always seem to disappear.

A GM just confirmed it to me: Conviction IS bugged.

  5. #25
Conviction bugged, EG bugged, mastery half-bugged, whats next? You'd think that 1 month into the expansion they'd have fixed at least these, i guess they're busy balancing frost mages and TB, ohwait!

Feel free to PM me about any question you might have regarding LoL.

WE dont need any other tests, just look at this:

    Conviction (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=20053)
    two effects:
Effect #1 Apply Aura: Mod Damage Done % (3)
    Value: 3
Effect #2 Apply Aura: Mod Healing Taken - % (127)
    Value: 3

    and look at Divinity (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=63648)
Effect #1 Apply Aura: Mod Healing Taken - % (127)
    Value: 6
Effect #2 Apply Aura: Mod Healing Power - % (127)
    Value: 6

    See? Its a BUG.

According to the GM Conviction is working as intended, meaning its not supposed to increase our healing to others just our own and has a misleading tooltip. Time to use those 3 points on something thats actually useful.

Edit: What the hell i see posts above stating GMs saying its bugged? This is so confusing, the GM in the pics above says its working correctly.

Turns out it doesn't increase healing to others. I tried it just now both with and without gear and without the Seal of Insight buff to eliminate everything that could have an impact on it, and it doesn't increase healing to others at all. I could've sworn it worked when I tested it a few days ago...

Anyway, this is what I will be using from now on

Made a post on offical forum about it with some testing

The tooltip clearly states that it increases your healin done by 3/6/9% on youself AND on other targets, as it does no state that it is only on yourself. Now after i read about this on some forums I decided to test this myself and came to the conclusion that Conviction does not affect your healing done to your targets, but only to yourself.
All these tests are done with the talent points of the screenshot below without Divinity and I do not have any sort of other healing taken bonus on me of any sort.

    Talents:

    Proof:
Healing target with no Conviction stacks on me:
    1. 8173 none crit
    2. 8503 none crit
    Average 8338 heal

Healing target with 3 Conviction stacks on me:
    1. 8390 none crit
    2. 8432 none crit
    3. 8539 none crit
    4. 8376 none crit
    5. 8443 none crit
Average 8436 heal (taking 9% off is 7676.76 which is no where near average heal with no conviction up)

Healing self with no Conviction stacks on me:
    1. 8237 none crit
    2. 8261 none crit
    3. 8268 none crit
    4. 8378 none crit
    Average 8286 heal

Healing self with 3 conviction stacks on me:
    1. 9028 none crit
    2. 8981 none crit
    3. 8923 none crit
    4. 8830 none crit
    5. 9238 none crit
    6. 9276 none crit
Average 9046 heal (taking 9% off is 8231.86 which is pretty close to my heals with no conviction)

I have tried this on players with no healing taken bonus aswell with exactly the same result.
The conclusion of this is weather the tooltip is showing wrong, or the talent isn't working correctly. It would be very appriciated if we can get a blue post on this matter as holy paladins will read this and test it themselves, and find that the talent currently is completly useless for holy paladins.

    Cheers

QFT. The question remains: is the bug in the way this talent works, or is it misleading tooltip. If the case is in tooltip, then I have no idea why does this talent even exist.

I agree. What's the point for a healer to have a healing taken stacking buff? We already have Protector of the Innocent.
This should be a DPS talent, they like to stand in fire.

Maybe that was a bit of a love for shockadins (or rather - exodins), lol.

This has been a huge waste of a talent. Thank whoever for pointing this out. I wonder why Blizz would put this talent so deep in the tree if the tooltip IS NOT misleading. Do we have any confirmation either way on the tooltip issue? Does it only effect self healing, or is it suppose to effect both and is broken? GMs have said both ways from what I've seen.

I found out that ToR netted me way more HP than Blessed Life did, so I didn't spec out of it.

Wow, can't believe i didn't notice this. I wonder how long it has been this way. I'm fairly certain it was working right at some point in the past.
