Due to our offtank being on vacation this week, we thought we could give Al'akir a shot since it looked like in the videos that he was doable with only one tank. So I just want it confirmed, is he doable with only one tank?

my guilds first kill we had a healer away or something so we 2 healed it with 2 tanks and just had the off tank pull the stormlings out of the raid, it makes up about a third of the raid damage in phase 2 anyway.
When I'm sad I stop being sad and be AWESOME instead.

Do him with 1 tank and just have a Death Knight hold the Stormlings off to the side.

Anybody can technically tank the stormlings away from the raid.
We have a melee dps just grab them and bring them low and then work on the boss, and we just quickly kill them when we need to refresh Feedback stacks.

Just use a DK to deal with Stormlings, you only need one tank

Yes. We've never used 2 tanks. Why would we?
I always solo-tank it and taunt the stormlings. I don't even taunt them sometimes. They do 0 damage to us, healers go into p3 with full mana regardless and no one dies, ever, so I hardly give a shit.
