Schnedier straight up for the #9 seems fucking terrible. What the fuck Gillis? Could he have mishandled that situation anymore terribly? Can't believe their entire haul for a legit starting goalie was one pick. Grats Devils.
Glad the Wings got the guy they wanted in Mantha and managed to snag an extra pick in the second round swapping spots with San Jose. I've heard a ton of ridiculously great things about Mantha. The Wings desperately need someone who can play inside and is a legit goal scorer. Pretty fucking psyched.

Not really mad about about 1sts picks but I'm a bit disappointed in Feaster. He passed up Hunter Shinkaruk to grab someone who was projected in the 2nd round, I really think we could have just gotten Poirier at 28 and been able to still take Shinkaruk. Roberto Luongo look alike better be damn good. We'll see if it's a bonehead move 2-3 years from now but it's tough to criticize draft picks when they're just 18~ years old.

so detroit traded the 18 pick for the 20th pick (Dropping all of two spots) and got an extra second round pick, and still managed to get the guy we wanted?

I don't understand, trading Bolland only frees up room to sign those guys? This trade virtually guarantees Bicks will be back so I'm totally fine with that. Bolland never really lived up to his contract. Originally Posted by kabookiejoez

Short term, the #9-Schneider trade pisses me off.
Long term, we'll see. Maybe Horvat will be a star player on the Canucks a few seasons down the line.

Over 13.5 in cap space for re-signs and extensions, pretty much guarantees Bickell getting re-signed. Hawks have plenty of guys who can come up and fill Froliks spot, 2.25 was too much for him.
