Top 5 items to sell in various professions.

    I have the following professions:
    Alchemy
    Tailoring
    Jewelcrafting
    Blacksmithing
    Leatherworking
    Enchanting

What 5 items in each profession do you feel are "must make" items?

In my experience, the potion market is usually very undeveloped. I often come across there not being any potions of X kind on the AH. Yet the demand for them is obviously huge. Meaning, that even if you're not a potion master, there is much money to be made from nothing.

In enchanting, the maelstrom weapon enchants are quite hot still.

Jewelcrafting, get a few cuts of each kind and get chimera's eyes for the rest of the token, when you feel you're content.

Well the potion market ll never develop. The consumption of the potions is so extremly high that all people rather then buying it ll buy the mats and ask g alchemist to create the potions for them.
But about the "must make" items - easily the items which everybody wants, if comes something new like truegold or new recipes.

Alchemy - depends on your specialisation and your server. I mostly make transmute living elements (cost of volatile life, 4g each, cost of air, 20g - easy profit once per day), keep an eye on truegold prices (varies), and I make flasks. Potions of Tol'vir, earthen strength and Golemsblood are also used a lot by raiders, along with mythical mana, if you're a potion master.

Tailoring - on my server right now there's not a lot of profit in it other than selling cloth. Depending on the cost of the mats, then the BoE purples might be worth it.

JC - This is very server dependant, try to get the cuts that are popular but aren't overstocked on the AH and you just have to keep on the AH, Meta's may sell for higher and especially if you have the newer meta recipes that are drops.

    LW - Leg enchants?

Enchanting - I sell the weapon enchants fairly well, I also sell some of the old original stuff that people put on heirlooms quite high. If you have the wrist enchants those scrolls will usually sell too.

Alchemy as a Transmute Master with a character with JCing as well, you can pretty much print money. One a fortnight I buy enough mats to make 50 Inferno Rubys, generally come out with 60ish (thanks to specialisation). Send them all to my DK with JCing and cut them all into Brilliant Inferno Rubys.

Inferno Ruby Mats - 3 Carnelians (20-30g each), 3 Heartblossom (Stack for around 45g) - Total : Between 65 and 80g Each (excluding procs)

Brilliant Inferno Ruby - 150-190g Each

Thats a profit, without procs of roughly 100g a gem. I make about 5-6k profit every 2 weeks on this, which funds my other ventures in the AH. As long as you don't do it too often and when you do it you don't flood the market all at once, you can make so much gold this way. Then do this with Stam Gems and Mastery Gems and you really do have a lisence to print money.

U r very lucky, on my server dropped red rare gems to 40g...never seen such retarded jwc economy. Even if there are +- 2 or 3 sellers these idiots start selling it on 40g or if one starts on 100g the other one sells it again for 40g....no way, i cry

I've just leveled my Alchemy up to 525 myself (have to level my alts JC to 525 now -.-) and the economy on Ravenholdt EU is completely out.

Brilliant Inferno Ruby's are going for around 80g. Whereas 1 Carnelian gem is going for 35g.

There just doesn't seem to be any sort of recipe where I can print money as such. It involves farming constantly for the mats to get money it seems.

Wish I could just play the AH

Try and get most of the old world enchants because no one has them and you can set up a monopoly, but they do cost a lot to obtain.

Some great posts. Personally I think the best selling items will be enchants & cut rare gems, especially reds, due to the new gear needing gems

I've found LW to be the easiest to make money by far. Leather is sooooo easy to get in Cata, due to the spider and croc dailies. The epic chestpieces sell for 5-6k on my server, and a stack of heavy leather, which takes about 20 mins to get, sells for around 700g.

I've been making decent gold on my JC, not so much from crafting gems but from prospecting ore. Elementium is going for about 2-3 gold per on my server, and a stack of 5 (10-15 gold) tends to prospect into about 25 gold worth of gems, on average. The catch is that it does take a while to sell the gems (I usually list about 12 of each color a couple times a day), but it gives me a couple thousand gold a day for doing very little more than just working the AH.

Should also point out that when green gem prices fall below 9 gold, I buy up everything under 9 gold, cut it into something random, and vendor it. Not really a significant source of income on its own, but keeps the actual gem market stronger. I do also occasionally cut blue quality, though only the super popular ones (mostly Inferno Rubies) sell reliably.
