Older guys (20+) compared to your schoolmates in High School (16) usually have a job that pays much better some part time fast food gig the High School guys have. That leads to the older guys having cars or bikes, own apartment, money to spend on her (pay for movies, dinners, gifts). Plus I am not a girl but I bealive having an older boyfriend somewhat makes you "special" among friends? Maybe...
Personally I find it funny with all the emancipation around.
The girls thinks it makes them "adult", and guys just like young meat, law of nature. But if you just keep it legal and within accept range of age (to those of you who don't know it's: 'your age'/2 + 7)

I could easily see a fully matured 17 year old gal with a just fully matured 25 year old male, and not think twice about it. Plus when you graduate from high school age boundaries tend to vanish. If you are attracted to someone age usually isn't the first thing that crosses your mind.
My mom and dad have 10 years between them.
It's a complete falsehood that girls mature quicker than boys. Both mature at the same rate, but in different areas. People claim that the fart jokes, and body humor boys make are immature, and because girls are often too afraid to tag along, that flags them as more mature. There could be the claim that because girls prefer to sit down and talk about nonsensical things with their friends, that they've matured faster than the boy of the same age that would rather go outside and perform something more physical and active with their friends.
Boys will mature with respect to physical things faster than girls. They will become more comfortable with their bodies, its actions and limits. Boys will also have a better understanding of the physical mechanics of the things around them. They are biologically built to be more efficient towards harvesting energy from their food, and going all out until the day is over, when they crash. The male body was designed at the younger stages to begin learning to hunt, and being easily fatigued would be beyond counter productive, it would be devastating to the survival of the species. Males also prefer to spend time with friends and perform some sort of activity, that will often include running around or rough housing, to burn off all their excess energy, and to bond. Bonding helps with a natural pack seeking mentality, this is their socializing.
Girls will mature faster in communication aspects than boys. They will tend to slow down, and prefer to collect in an area with other girls, and just talk with their friends, mostly nonsensical stuff. This is an activity similar to what adults will do, mostly due to either a lack of energy, time, or agreement to do something that everyone likes, or something of grave importance needs to be discussed so action can be acted upon. Between the mimicry and the ease of supervising children not running around, it is often mistaken that girls have matured faster than boys, of the same age. As you progress later in life though, usually around the very late teens to the early twenties, you will notice that, while females will have decent communication skills, they will lack an understanding of: their surroundings, themselves, and often feel unsure about deeper relationships with others.
This is why they often describe the late teen and early twenties years, as the "experimentation years" for girls, but not so often the same for boys. Most boys have already learned to establish who they are by then, but most girls will have very little idea.
As towards the OP's original topic: younger girls go after older guys, because they mistake their ability to communicate with older guys on a similar level, as having the same level of maturity. The guys don't mind it all that much, because the girls are then easy, and humans will often travel the path of least resistance. If the two ever spend time together over a prolonged period, the different levels of maturity, and life experience do show.
There is of course exceptions to this, and generalizations rarely apply absolutely to everyone, but in broad strokes they can apply to most. Point of the matter is, if the OP is looking for a few fun dates, or fun nights, younger girls is ok. If you actually want anything worthwhile, someone your own age is better.
Well i am only 17!
But i have a friend whos 18 and dates like 15 year old!
I just cant......cant......... its not what i like!
I like girls my age -_-
because high school girls are stupid, thinking oh im dating this awesome older guy who works at burger king full time but in reality they are just dating 20 year old guys that are losers who cant get girlfriends their own age.
The older guys just know what to say to the young girls. How many times do you actually see it work out? How many times do you see the girls actually break up with the older guys? Most times its the older guy that breaks up with the girl.
naaah tought that will be some porn here

Back when I was 21 I started a relationship with a 16 year old, fun times, yes sometimes a difference in opinion, but now I'm 28 and she is 23 and we are enjoying our engagement to be married.
Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.
I thought the equation for social acceptability (in terms of creepiness, not illegality) was, for the older party, (age/2)+7. That is, a 30 year old can reasonably date a 22+ year old and not look creepy.
That being said, the oldest acceptable dude that can date a 15 year old girl would be 16.
I was 23 and my girlfriend 17 when i met her. I think its because girls are more mature, like some ppl said before. Or it is because i am childish, not sure which one.
It's common for girls to like older guys, it's a psychological thing. It doesn't happen as much here from the girls I know in the UK, a 16 year old might go out with an 18 year old, but 20-25 is a rarity.
I'm a highschool boy with an older girlfriend, does that count?
