On the Dorans items, theyre not bad, I just wouldnt take them as first item anymore. Especially if the enemy team is slightly bursty a Dorans in your early build is always nice. Like when Im playing Kog vs AP Yi and Kha its pretty obvious Ill need some HP so I just grab a Dorans blade on my first back. Pots are just the only real sustain in lane these days so they're too important to not get as a first item.
Also cloth armour + 5 pots is pretty win on an AD where you arent going to he the lane bully, cloth costs 300 and sells for 210, so you only lose out on 90g, but it allows you to trade better as well as generally giving you a 2 or 3 pot advantage. Managed to beat Draven as Vayne in lane by going cloth + 5 pot.

Yeah, it's not uncommon that I take a Doran's Ring on a mid if I have to back early.
I just like to zone my lane opponent out early so I can either gank other lanes or get an advantage over them.

Even on blitz support I still carry at this "elo". Big Plays all morning.

I won't complain about Elise either, she really isn't that amazingly strong.

It's the spell you max first anyway, so while she still does quite crazy damage with it, at least you won't spam it without ever going oom.
