Yeah, I watched the cartoon and read the manga up to wherever it was, like several years back. It was pretty fun to read. I still wouldn't really classify it as adult material, though. Very gory, but that's mostly it. I didn't identify with any of the characters or find them particularly interesting.

At the artstyle of the game, pixar-like is probably the best description, especially for the CGI intro/animation which was one of the first things released. Imo, graphic wise, Wildstar is the spiritual sucessor of WoW graphics in the MMO Genre, simply because of it's comic look which is closer to WoW then any other MMO at the moment (I know of).
Yeah, and I'm glad for that. The psuedo-realistic MMOs always look like crap.

Unless were talking about porn or some kind of unholy fetish I don't think there is such a thing as adult material, I'd prefer the term mature audience rather.
Claymore is Epic again, eat it priscilla fanboys.

Exactly and thats why even looking at this game brings relaxiation-alike feelings. It is going to be one ofe THOSE TITLES many of us will play Hopefully.
"Realistic" games are hmm, heavy, booring, I play game to forget about real life, not to play it. Realistic games are a turn-off for many.

Man, I hope you're lying and haven't really read or watched Berserk. Because the alternative is that you have one fucked up notion of what's considered adult material.

The manga opens up with lead lead having sex with a woman who then turns into a demon and tries to kill him only to get her head blown off. And that's where we START. Along the many volumes we see both attempted and successful rapes, many different forms of torture, all kinds of severed limbs and body parts, ritual sacrifices, incest, and much, MUCH more.

The events of the night of the eclipse alone, even in the watered down version in the anime, is enough to solidify Berserk as something for mature audiences only.

MMO wise I must say I agree, or pretty much everything that is not a simulator or a shooter. For example a Battlefield (X) game id want to have as realistic as possible graphics where as MOBA, MMO and other games of that sort I prefer "cartoony" yet high detailed/polished etc.
Of course to each their own...

This game imho is the next best thing... seems like there is no hype simply because the flow of information is kinda slow.
From what i ve read this is going to change the upcoming weeks, starting from early February when several new stuff will see the light.

Honestly i can't wait for that

Maybe that's a good thing? Then again, there are basically no real gameplay videos except for the ones from Gamescom 2 years ago.
I am sure this thread will explode when (open) beta finally starts. And the beta test was scheduled to start in early 2013, that was at least the last info about it.

lets face it, at this point for several reasons there's hype for TESO, in my opinion soon this will change... Wildstar if keep its promises, and do not do the mistake and try to please everyone, will be the next big thing!!

Loving the new stuff. Keeping my fingers crossed for this one.
    Sir Robin, the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot.
Who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor.
Who had almost stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol.
And who had personally wet himself, at the Battle of Badon Hill.

Couple nice tidbits from the weekly update:

We've always been focused on launching WildStar when it's ready, but we think that time's approaching fast. And so today, I'm very freakin' excited to share with you that our schedules are pointing towards WildStar hitting “It’s Ready” this year: 2013. We meant it when we said that this was going to be The Year of WildStar, and that begins right now.
Also they say there going right into closed beta after the mini fan/media testing they just announced:

So the next step for us is a test-run of all these goals: we’ve invited select fans and critics to come to the first Arkship event being held at Carbine. We not only want them to try out the current state of the game and help get it ready for closed beta in the upcoming months – but also lend their opinions, feedback, and criticisms to our team here in California.
And after those folks have given us their hopes and dreams for WildStar, we want to fold their ideas and feedback into the game, and then roll right into a closed beta that knocks your socks off.
And they are going to be at Pax East, March 22-24

We'll be at PAX East in Boston this March, and we're bringing the latest and greatest version of WildStar for anyone to get their hands on.

I linked the above list with everything. Read these ZAM articles, they provide so much info, especially about the raiding part. And heck, housing in the form of Guild Fortresses to battle other high end guilds in their fortresses. With captured raid bosses as guards. Holy shit.

I'm honestly hoping I get into the Beta for this game more than TESO :3, I'm loving everything I'm seeing and hearing, and it sounds like Carbine is going all out to make it the next awesome thing.

Unless something drastic happens, the game will probably be a pre-order for me.
