Freeza's a parody of a Land Shark. Raditz, Vegeta, and Nappa were just used to expand the DB Series further. Namek was due to Toriyama writing himself into a corner with the whole Kami/Piccolo dying BS. Cell and the Androids are basically an 80's Movie ripoff. Buu's a piece of mutated Bubblegum with a 1 dimensional attitude...

And Toriyama's not out of ideas. He's just trying to fix the mistake he made back during the first 3 Broly films.

I also love the Shintani designs, as well. Also, apparently, a Kimi No Na Wa Animator's also being apart of the Film's Animation. Like, YES!

I am willing to bet Frieza did it, and somehow put the blame on Goku?

Either that or Broly came to Earth to recruit Goku's help in dealing with Frieza and that Goku somehow screwed it all up by asking for a sparring session.

well, so far, movies weren't disappointment.

well, RoF was because the plot with Frieza was meh but if they play their cards right and give Broly a personality, more lines and a nice backstory then it will be pretty good.

It may be doubtful its the same Broly. This may be a new Broly that Toriyama wanted to work on himself. Thus he can keep the badassery of the original broly, and now redo the backstory to be less shit

I agree 100%. Broly was an awesome design and concept, but lacked any character depth in comparison. The fact that they are taking Broly and doing something else with him means that we can get more of the cool action with a chance of some half decent plot.
