372? 375? 379?
372? 375? 379?
Atleast 378
372 seems logical, assuming the next tier normal modes will be ilvl 404.
I would guess in the 380 range. since top Firelands gear is 397. that will put reg raid gear at around 394 and heroic over 400
I'd say 359 to match normal raids. The Raid Finder ones could possibly be 353.
edit: sorry got confused... new dungeons will prolly be 365+ just so firelands will still be attractive

t11=359 - Zul dungeons=353 - t12=378 - 4.3 dungeons=372 ?
Would be logical. Less than the previous tier so it's still worth going there.
"You're messing with my zen thing, man!"
I think 365 as the data mined brewfest items are 365 so i think they planned it to hit close to 4.3 also hallows end items are also 365
http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/...TR-Build-14133 scroll down till you find items.
Might just be placeholder tought.
well 5 mans went from 346 to 353, so half a tier, i will assume 360 or 359
Still I cry, tears like pouring rain, Innocent is my lurid pain.
Going from the "pattern" (one release isn't much of a pattern, but go with me here) made by the Zandalari heroics, they were slightly below the item level of last tier's raid (359) at 353. It would be logical to assume that they might do the same with the 4.3 dungeons, making them slightly below the last tier (which will be Firelands) at iLvl 372. Anything above that would be a pretty hefty reward for doing 5 mans, and would eliminate the need to do Firelands anymore completely. These next dungeons will allow you to gear up to iLvl 372 and then pug the nerfed Firelands, much like how the Zandalari's gave people a slight gear advantage to go into raiding the nerfed T11 content once 4.2 hit.
It would seem that Blizzard's idea is for people to continue doing the raid content previous to the current tier, and not skip over it entirely, so I don't think they'll be awarding gear over 378.
372. 359 is too low if they want players to experience 4.3 content.
I'm guessing 360 to jive with their established 5man drops progression. Or 366 to have the same flow from normal mode to heroic mode gear.
346->353->360
for major patches, item levels are usually 13 item levels higher because blizzard thinks this is a sweet spot for some reason. for mid patch like new 5 mans, or hardmode upgrade, item levels are usually 6 or 7 levels higher than the other drops in the raid.
for example, naxx in wotlk was 200-213....ulduar was 219-226, toc 5 man was 219.
5 mans in 3.3 were 219 on normal, 232 on heroic (and yes, 4.3 5 mans will probably have normal and heroic, ZA and ZG were a different animal because of the scaling, kinda hard to add normal then 13 more for heroic mode to a recycled 5 man IMO)
we can only guess, but depending how they want 4.3 difficulty to scale, entry level 5 mans could be the same as firelands, or higher to progress your gear, make you feel you accomplished something and give you incentive to run them (since they will probably be the new way to weekly farm valor) assuming new 5 man heroics have 7 item levels higher than firelands, you're looking at 385 (which can be iffy because it would trivialize fireland bosses, but its progression, so who knows)
assuming 385 from the easy 5 man, the next two would probably be 7 higher, you're looking at 392. or could have heroic version which is 13 levels higher, so 398.
TL;DR my guess is
1st new 5 man 378 or 385 on normal, 391 or 398 on heroic.
the other 2 either the same or 391 or 398 on normal, 404 or 411 on heroic
following the example of wotlk, the transition to raids from 5 mans in 3.3 was +32 item levels...
so this would put the deathwing raid at 410-423 on normal, 440ish on heroic

365 would be my guess, as this keeps it below the heroic 4.0 raids which havent been nerfed, keeps it on a par with molten front daily vendor rewards as well.
Every patch since 3.0 has had heroic dungeons 13 ilvls above normal dungeons, with one exception (ToC5 had 19 ilvls between normal and heroic). It stands to reason that 4.3 dungeons should be 359 normal / 372 heroic or 365 normal / 378 heroic.
My bet is 365.
To throw another pattern possibility in the mix, when the ICC 5 mans came out, the heroic ilvl was the same as the ilvl of the tier before ICC...in other words, they had the same ilvl as t9 10m normal. Using that possible pattern, that would put the new deathwing instances at 378 heroic and 365 reg, to make them equal to firelands normal tier and molten front gear.
More then likely the Item Level is going to be -1 tier the current raid tier when it is released. So therefore -1 tier of tier 13 item level not tier 12. This is SOP for blizzard honestly. One thing many do not understand is that ZA/ZG where SLATED for the Fireland patch. The reason they were released earlier is because GC thought that players needed help with T11. The item level for ZA/ZG is not a good starting point to consider in this example. They where 353 because they really did not have many options because could not make it higher then the current raid at the time which was 359 and had to be high the tier 1 heroics because they were harder so 353 was chosen. I personally believe if they were released with Firelands like slated they would have been 365 to match Molten Front dailies. Therefore, with that understanding and the SOP of blizzard of making the next tier 1/2 higher then heroic previous. Current heroic is 391 plus 1/2 tier is 6 (rounded down) so most likely Tier 13 will be equal to what heroic RAG drops which is 397. Then we subtract 1 tier you would get, 384. That is the most likely number that will be chosen. This also makes sense because 4.2 raids are being Nerfed per 4.3 lunch. In the end it does not matter what the item level is as long as those drops will allow new players to get into current tier raiding, which is Blizzard SOP. My estimated guess seams logical.
