    Deathwing is dead in this future because (1) he's a ticking time bomb a few elementium plates away from literally bursting with raw power, and (2) he's been nothing but a puppet of the old gods for the past ten thousand years so once he succeeds in destroying Azeroth they have no more need for him. The old gods would most likely kill him themselves or just let him burn himself out.

    No mention of what happens to Thrall, Garrosh or Varian Wrynn. I was hoping to see some kind of future lore of Garrosh versus Varian and one of them winning. Deathwing being impaled is confusing, theyre holding a story element back. So a DW raid would have you fighting his "old god" form in the Maelstrom, but his regular form somehow is killed on a temple? What gives? Even if he committed suicide, w/e old god is controlling him would still show signs of presence on his form when dead, tentacles or something protruding from his flesh to try and stop what he is doing. I wonder if in this future the old god becomes its own entity and form, and leaves DW, and something else happens to DW that ends with him being impaled. That would explain the "echoes" of our fallen leaders?
