I'm currently working on some sets for fun and a set for my mount.

One of my ridiculous transmogs is going to be with an admiral hat and look like a sailor.

Another one is going to suit my Invincible mount. I was thinking of using something similar to Necro-knight robe.

A lot of great transmog sets in this thread, but one idea that i haven't had any luck with so far was looking like Black Mage from 8-bit theater http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/B...nal_Fantasy%29. I have tried a couple of times to find gear that would work but i've failed completely =/. So I come to you, If any of you know some gear that might work, please let me know. Until then though, i'll have to try some of these others you all have posted. Ty.

Once I have the honor to spare, I'll be getting the S1 Mage armor (red Aldor recolor). But for now, given I've recently switched from Frost to Fire for PvP (so much fun!), I decided to build this set. I know it's not original, but it's got pants instead of a dress. :P
Still looking for a good hat on the AH to go along with it.

Was creating some after a friend asked me to do something for his mage. Haven't really done any mage sets before, but I thought, you know, why not. So here are the results.
(Model viewer is still refusing to open the characters' eyes.)



Some kind of a fire set, looks better when the character's eyes are open because they match the colour of the belt thingy!

If you wonder why I chose that staff, it's because it has some purple parts in it which matches the gloves better. I couldn't find any better gloves for the set, so I had to take those even though they aren't a perfect match. And I also tried to find some shoes/belts/shoulders that had the same light purple colour on them as the gloves, but with no luck.



It's supposed to be a PvP set, which is why I didn't choose anything too flashy. I like the PvP sets to be a bit simplier and more discreet. Although the staff is maybe a bit too simple, but it was more of a ''oh man, I forgot to choose a weapon for this set, I'll just pick something'' -choice.

I did some digging, and it seems like you can get a look almost like that without any quest items/rare drops:

Gloves: www.wowhead.com/item=13870from Tailoring, but if you can't find anyone with the recipe/can't find the recipe/gloves from the AH, you could go with Black Mageweave Gloves: http://www.wowhead.com/item=10003 or Mystic's Gloves (they are a world drop, but you might find them from AH):http://www.wowhead.com/item=14367 OR even Soulcloth Gloves, which are actually golden/yellow, but they look alright: http://www.wowhead.com/spell=26779 (they too are made by Tailors, but the recipe can be purchased from a vendor).

Belt: www.wowhead.com/item=46080 purchased with Honor

Shoes: http://www.wowhead.com/item=55817 from Stonecore.

Staff: That particular staff is a quest reward, but you could easily go with almost anything, since enchants are going to ruin it anyway. If you like the simple look of that staff, you could of course try Zum'rah's Vexing Cane: http://www.wowhead.com/item=18082 or Rod of the Sleepwalker: http://www.wowhead.com/item=1155, which are both from low-level dungeons.

Cloak: This gave me some trouble. That exact cloak is a world drop, as it its identical twin Abjurer's Cloak. If you don't like farming them or waiting for them to pop in the AH, you could try Shifting Cloak www.wowhead.com/item=18511, but since the recipe has been removed from the game, you'd have to find someone with the pattern. Other decent cloaks are Cloak of the Moon: http://www.wowhead.com/item=41607 (which also has a gazillion identical siblings, and I'm pretty sure one of them is actually purchasable with Honor), Cloak of the Devoured: http://www.wowhead.com/item=22731 (if you don't mind running Temple of AQ...), or even Dreamcrusher Drape http://www.wowhead.com/item=77097, which can be bought from the Cata valor vendors, and it looks surprisingly good.

Robe: Silvermoon Robes
Bracers: Sorcerer's Bracelets
Gloves: Ameth'Aran Handwraps (Although there are LOTS of gloves that look almost exactly like these)
Belt: Black Belt of Knowledge
Boots: Cindercloth Boots, I'd say
Dagger: Perdition's Blade
Off-hand: Netherwing Spiritualist's Charm

Of course they may be pieces that just look like these, but this is pretty much the set.
