A lot of outdated information on the encounter pages -- should really update them to reflect the dungeon journal on the latest PTR client.

oh look! 6/8 (ill be nice and not include the normal deathwing model) reused models for bosses! *sigh*

So the only boss with a new model is DW? I know that when it comes down to it, fight mechanics are far more important than boss model, but c'mon, it's the last raid, they could have put a little more effort into it. And people were bitching about firelands not having any original models....

Heh. I'm one of those Paladins with 50k plus Valor Points. Got the achievement 3 weeks ago.

This graph just shows that a lot of healers quit (thanks to the wonderful new healing model...), and those who still play are doing double/triple shifts.

I'm shocked to see Hunters being so darn low at 50K though, they drop a lot and yet they are among the best dpsers in the current content, plus they can bring almost any stray buffs missing in the game which makes them really good for 10 mans.

Personally I believe 10 man guilds are the reason for these trends, Cataclysm has forced a lot of people into 10 mans, which require a lot more dual speccing. And there's just no benefit of being a pure dps class except for loving that class' combat system. I'm a pure dps myself, and if I hadn't loved my class as much I would have switched to a multipurpose class long ago.

Can someone please tell me wtf the graph is comparing? It only says percent but not the percentage is representative of.

Of each other. Add each class' percentage for each category and you get 100. So if one class goes up, another class must go down for the next category.

Well the downward trends on pure classes is quite easily explained. They only have 1 armor set to gather.My warlock stopped doing troll dungeons after getting all his valor gear. But all the hybrids in my raidgroup kept collecting gear for their 2nd or even 3rd specs. Naturally they'd have more vp because they were capping for much much longer. For alts this is even more obvious as they usually have less raiding time so the hybrid dungeon crawlers capping vp keep going while the pures pick their noses after their first set.

Look at Rogues dieing class ( I don't understand why Rogues are represent so low. Is it the class mechanics makes gameplay difficult? Or is it a class itself very unpopular? Ex retired Gladiator Rogue Djprada

So the grand finale bosses of Cata consist of 4 re-used models, 2 standard wow character models with one wearing shaman tier 2 and one the warrior tier 13, and then the only unique model DW himself.

Wow, just wow...

Isn't the only thing that graph proves, that tanks and healers keep doing their weekly dungeons? And people like rogues, who gear once, don't get a reward bag, can't be bothered?

bleh, 90% of those bosses are reskins of older models...

Unicorn should really be updated for SANDY BRIDGE-E now that it was released November 15th even if the 2600k is a legendary cpu the socket is much better for games like wow having 40x pci lanes so you can actually have 2 graphics cards at the full 16 lane capability. oh and pci-e 3.0 = double bandwidth. quad channel ram....... only thing good about 2600 is a cpu benchmark which it will score high overclocked to hell but we all know wow uses less cpu and more gpu so there's really no point. Turn off hyper threading and see your wow fps jump why? because wow can only use 2 cores weather they are physical or threaded. Meaning wow will use 1 physical core at 50% and one theoretical core at 50% when you turn off hyper threading wow will use 2 physical cores at 100%. Unfortunately that is how wow is programmed atm

So - out of 6.2 million toons analysed by MMO - 1200 had 50k+ VPAnd in the poll of currently around 10k respondents - 1036 had 50k+ VP.I smell statistical anomaly.

Very easy to interpret: the only classes with an upward trend are the tanks and healers. That's just the result of instant or 5 minutes queues instead of 45 minutes for DPS. It is thus easier for them to get valor points.

Obv. there's more hybrids. If you want to heal yoy roll a hybrid, if you want to tank you roll one, and then there's all those people who only play the DPS specs of hybrids. It's really like 3 subclasses who happens to be part of the same class.

Note also that the 2 highest 50k classes are the universal spec classes (tank/healer/dps available).
