I don't get it. I thought Alliance and Horde were supposed to hate on each other this xpac?

Probably a group of 30 people at most :P. The costs and time I can't say, but I don't believe more than 30 people would ever work on a shorter piece such as this.

Best cinematic ever..... cunning, funny, action filled, conflict.... what more could you ask for.... this was making me smile the hole way through and still have a cork in my brow questioning. Very well put together and a congradulate Everyone that worked on it.

Extremely well made which is pleasing to see, my concern is a lack of 'epicness' found in the previous cinematics which for me stems from the lack of a villain.

Here read this to understand it

Everything you said after that was a matter of personal opinion that no one can debate because that's how you personally felt. Again, I honestly can't see how anyone could miss this but here goes.

0:00 - 1:59 - We see the alliance and the horde battling over sea and land, their conflict seems never ending. This means that we will see the conflict between the horde and alliance play a major part of this expansion. They fight it out for almost half the trailer! They discover a new land and even then the only thing they can think about is killing each other. Their physical actions are a metaphor (since you obviously missed that) for their conflict.

2:00 - End - Up until this point in the trailer, and by extension WoW as a whole, there have only been two major factions vying for supremacy, neither gaining the upper-hand. Both factions take blows but still fight on - but then a new fighter enters the ring, a new faction. The Pandaren did not attack them out-right, he merely staid their blows. This translates to the Pandaren being the wench between the factions. The Pandaren know little of war but they know how to fight and to defend. This 'Defense' concept plays out a lot in the trailer. The Monk does not attack directly, he merely suggests action with his defense, never trying to issue a killing blow. The Horde and Alliance soon realize that if they're to make any ground they must ally themselves to face this new threat as they have done at times before. However, this is still not enough to finish the fight. The Monk shows them why he is so strong, why he is what he is by showing them (and us) what it is he fights for. We see the discipline of the monks training on a precipice. We see the farmland and life that his people have created here and he will not stand for anything trying to end that existence. He sees that they understand, grabs his brew, and continues on his journey.

    Get it now?

the cinematic made perfect sense and i feel like it captured the essence of what pandaren really were and the fact that this expansion was about war. a human and an orc literally trying to kill eachother something we havent really seen in a cinematic before, weve seen some small combat between people in the bc one but not like this where its a raw battle for survival and not something that looks like its some battleground.

they got the pandaren perfectly a badass yet playful race they fight because they have to and they have fun while doing it, ofcourse the pandaren are going to smile while their fighting, if they felt hate and rage they would summon the sha so obviously when they fight they look at it like a game or a sparring match.

and the look on the orc and humans face? yeah thats to be expected, theres only a handful of pandaren who have ever travelled azeroth in the last 10,000 years most people think of them as a myth or a legend

imagine you were in the middle of a fight a bigfoot or the lochness monster came up and broke it up, you would be like "wtf" too it made perfect sense

this cinematic captured everything warcraft is and what this expac is. a serious dirty hard total war against two civilizations and some lightheartedness and humor mixed in.

if you cant see that this is what warcraft is and has always been then youve been playing for the wrong reasons

Dissagree. Pandas looked really childish. They have been like that all along.

Can't say it's exactly what I wanted or expected, but it's definitely exactly what Blizzard has said they were going for. Take that how you'd like.

i can't but agree with you...i mean really, what are they trying to prove by calling mop a child's game? that video games aren't eventually meant for kids and for those who want to have fun and instead should be another serious job? people nowadays...

The "most important aspect" of MoP are Old Gods and the Sha. The conflict on MoP between the Horde and the Alliance are a direct result of that. The schism between the Pandaren is because of that. The addition of monks to each of the factions is because of that. To utterly ignore it, not even allude to it in the slightest in the cinematic is pretty silly.

The quality is good, the animations are really good but.. I've seen the Kung fu panda movies and it's very similar, both in the fighting and the humor. I didn't like the trailer that much, no. Doesn't matter much though, since I'm going to continue playing.

I don't have any great expectations about this expansion like I had with TBC, the trailer didn't get me more excited either so in my eyes it's a step in the wrong direction. But, going to continue to play until I get bored with it.
