I personally don't want this but I'm still annoyed by it. It's fascinating to see how oblivious you are to what it implies. They are charging us a subscription to play the game and yet are implementing new art on the store that's the price of two full months of subscription time. Granted it's only a cosmetic item and only a mount, so it doesn't increase player power, but it's the principle of it. Why double dip? The frequency has increased as well, so not only are they spending more time making these store-exclusive items in lieu of making stuff for the base game that we pay a subscription for, but it's being pushed out to the store more frequently to milk as much money as possible before it becomes unsustainable.

But yeah, that's totally not it and I clearly want the mount. /eyeroll

Wow. Speechless. I remember right after we got the blue one from Hearthstone people were joking that this would be a store mount because we haven't had enough of those in MoP, have we? Now they change the colors and charge an extra 5$? Wow.

Except a lot of cigarette manufacturers do. So do cell phone companies, and cable companies, and another third of retail. Foreign concept, the additional content throughout patch cycles is what makes WoW appealing to a majority of its players and as we don't pay per patch it has become a de facto expectation in exchange for our subscription fee. The fact that they complain of limited development tools and having to cut features and extend deadlines for the next paid expansion (which is also the most expensive to date, including the digital edition;) but putting out regular content on the paid shop is insulting.

This is a fantastic looking mount.

Sad to see the only way to obtain it is through the store.

Would be cool if you could get it in game somehow.

Ok, my sub expires today. I have already pre-ordered WOD and will probably buy a month game time when it comes out. But seeing the number of store items increasing as well as the (imho) unjustified price increase, really makes me wonder where Blizz wants to take the game. Is this to see if the store can become a main source of income to make the game f2p?

I will vote with my wallet this time and not buy the mount and not renew my subs until either WOD comes out or I feel that Blizz deserves my hard earned cash for the service they provide.

I'm got loads of games I've never played because I always played wow, it's time to give those other games a chance.

The red version of the Hearthstone mount is unreleased. This mount is separate - and always has been.

Hrm. I don't think I'll be getting this one, for once. I've bought every store mount beforehand. But I don't really need that extra item, and that extra item bumped the price. I don't find it terribly attractive, I never noticed how awkward the Windsteed's running animations were (it seems to look different with the Windsteed's armor and wings). I like it, but not enough to justify me buying it for now. I don't think I'll be buying the little ravager guy, either. It's neat, but I suppose it's not my cup of tea. Tempting for the mount count, however :P

I don't know why people buy them. Once the novelty wears off you just have a shiny mount that everyone knows you paid for, with no prestige or respect

In Blizzard's defense I think the Iron Skyreaver was an accidental release. On a Europe server it suddenly popped up in the blizz store and basically at that point they had no choice but to release it.

I am surprised they released yet another shop mount with so many players concerned about the slow time/speed development of WOD.

Yes they are independent departments, but its not very tactful to release this right now imo.

F*ck this mount. What I want to know is where is the Grinning Ravager??!! I'll pay a f*ck ton of money for that mount. I've been wanting that bug type of mount that i never had the chance of gettin back in the AQ days. Curse my pvp ways
