    True

it originally said "VETERANS, youtubers, friends and family"... so guys with original accounts since vanilla that never got a beta invite to any xpac still will never get one.... some LOYALTY program for testing indeed...

to the person above, its tons of youtubers that shit on the game and on Blizzard publicly... all those guys are on beta today. Sodapop, heelsvsbabyface, danger dolan, etc etc. every one of them has beta streams now when they trashed blizz for a year straight

If DirecTV was Beta testing a new receiver, who would it make more sense to ship it to? People who actually are paying and using the service. Or someone who cancelled months ago? (Please don't say someone who cancelled months ago... I really want to get back to work and not have to reply to this anymore)
You assume that because I'm not subbed that I'm never going to sub again, therefore I'm not a valuable customer.

DirecTV customer model is not the same as Blizzard's.

In reality, I think I and other non-subbed are great candidates.

I'd really enjoy giving feedback to make sure the product that I'm eventually going to buy is as good as it can be. That makes me quite valuable.

Everyone's input is valuable. Active subs make sense to get access first. Then a broader wave of invites later.

Your view is tainted by youtubers.

The fact that I am proud that I do not know who you're talking about should be a great defense of my argument.

We're not all like that. My feedback is equally as important as yours.

Subbing has nothing to do with it. NOTHING.

Everything was fine until you said "Active subs makes sense to get access first."

That makes no sense to me.

There's no legitimate reason to value subbed versus non-subbed other than the fact that subbed people somehow feel entitled to beta access because they're subbed.

subbed people are more likley to actuallty use the beta then non subbed as they are less likey to see it, or care

Consider it the company rewarding them for current subscription. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

I sleep fine at night. This is my point exactly. I appreciate you coming out and saying it.

You want them to give you Beta because you deserve it as a reward for playing.

This is an assumption of yours. One that is not based on any factual evidence other than some random youtubers that are slighted against Blizzard.

Of course there is a legitimate reason... and you would be championing it if you WERE subbed. There are plenty of capable testers that are paying to participate in the game. Why would you invite people who have already left game?

If Legion is the logical extension of the game, then it would stand to reason in order to play it, you need to have an active sub. it's new content, buggy or not, and you, like many others, are dying to play it. Hell it should cost a premium...

Another thought? Put BETA behind an achievement like flight. You must gain some crazy achievement in order to get a beta flag on your account.

While YOU would be interested in checking it out, how many people don't even look at their battle.net page anymore to even check? I know when I got into Alpha, I stumbled across my invite by accident when changing accounts. I didn't receive a single email. My husband didn't when he got into Beta. Well if you don't get notification and you're not actively playing, the chances of that player actually participating in the Beta will be much slimmer than those who are actively playing and looking at those boxes that tell you you're in.

Then those people would be replaced by more invites.

Beta is about testing, it's not a privilege for anyone. If Blizz invites people that don't want to beta, then they'll invite more people until hey have a pop that they need.

Now you're getting crazy. It's not a logical extension of the game.

Just because I'm not currently subbed doesn't mean I'm not going to be in the future.

Your subscription is not a reason for you to deserve beta.

And locking beta behind some kind of achievement just makes it exclusive, which completely removes an entire group of people that BETA NEEDS to test.

The more exclusive and limiting Beta is, the more you hurt the process.

Why can't you people see that?

PM me your BattleTag and I'll check, but before you do please check the status page one last time, it takes up to 30 sec to update characters after you hit the button. Also note that armory doesn't update until you log out.

It's not the amount of money, you smug prick. It's the premise of paying a subscription for an expansion that you have no further intention of playing.
