Battle for Azeroth Beta - Build 26871

Druid Artifact Transmog in Battle for Azeroth
The latest beta build added the Artifact transmog system:

  • When transmogging your weapon, there is an option under the weapon type drop down menu called "Artifact Pair."
  • When you select this, you see your basic artifact weapon and the different versions of each weapon.
  • When you right click the version, a list of the different forms and color options is able to be selected to apply to your character.
  • The form is still linked to your artifact weapon and so your weapon will appear as the claws or daggers (based on spec) regardless of what weapon you have equipped. (ex - your equipped polearm would still turn into the dual daggers).
  • A similar system is in place for other classes.



Uther's Tomb Updates
Uther's Tomb received some more updates in Battle for Azeroth. His statue has been upgraded and two locked doors have appeared on either side of the stained glass window. If you look through the bars, you can see stairs leading down into an unknown location.





Dark Iron Racial - Mole Machine
The Mole Machine allows you and your friends to travel to Stormwind or right outside Ironforge.



Warfront and Island Expedition Queue Menus
The menus that allow you to queue for Warfronts and Island Expeditions were recently added to beta.



Battle for Azeroth Timewalking Quest Reward
The quest available whenever a timewalking event is active returns in Battle for Azeroth and has been updated to reward a normal cache from the new raid and 400 artifact power for your Heart of Azeroth. The new quest giver is a tortollan named Chronicler Toopa and is found in the Tradewinds Market area of Boralus and Little Tortolla in the docks area of Zuldazar.

    Funny enough, you can't actually apply the druid transmogs, lol. Unless it's just me.

    I wonder what significance Uther's Tomb has in BfA, and whether or not it has something to do with Taelia.

    Neat, finally he gets something that resembles a unique model.
    I wonder whether they will also change his statue in Stormwind's Cathedral Square?

    I meant the idea they introduced recently about the Light having its own version of undead. Sure Uther's all bones by now but Turalyon's sword comes to mind.

    I mean... were we really expecting anything different? It's been like this since TW was a weekly thing.

    The druid update is actually really dumb, and not scalable at all.

    What happens if they want to add different forms now not connected to artifacts? Are they done with making new druid forms now?

    They should have just made a tab for each form, similar to each weapon tab in the transmog menu, then you unlock a form when you collect the weapon.

    Then they could make it backwards compatable with the fire kitty and compatable with any future forms they want to add.

    (I don't see why they can't add at least one new form per expansion)

    ARE THOSE MOGS ACCOUNT WIDE? I have the hidden druid on my main druid but not on my alt druid. Can I transmog those on my alt too?

    my wild guess it will be a mythic only dungeon like karazhan was and it will open in 8.1 :P

    Ummm because losing money? There is no point to add any skins for druids at this point. It would be wasting their resources. Blizzard is a small company they only create things what makes big money. As once they said: we don't create content for the minority.
    Maybe you are confused with the Vanilla-BC-WotLK dev team... well those are nowhere to be found anymore.

    Ummmm... Does this mean that say a protection paladin cannot transmog his shield to the artifact skin and his sword to some random non-artifact 1H weapon???

    They've said previously it's gonna be account wide, but not sure if it's inplemented yet.

    ARGH! So a superior transmogging system is used ONLY for artifact appearances? WHY?

    Why can't they just let people transmog to whichever weapons they can use regardless of their actual weapon? They already have the technology, come on! It's one of my most requested system changes for transmog (being able to transmog one-hander + off-hand to a two-hander, fist weapons to one-handers and such) and they have the nerve to do it just for artifact appearances?

    I hate when they gimp new tech isolating it to just a portion of the whole game.

    How profoundly dense can they be?

    Even if it doesn't work at least they're listening and putting it in.

    The mole machine coming up outside Ironforge would be great if all the infrastructure wasn't focused on SW.
