Thread: Thrall finally wields the real Doomhammer

This is from the PTR. I just used the argent tabard and saw that the horde arrival event started, so I decided (being alliance) to do my typical "/spit Garrosh, /cheer Thrall" thing, and then I noticed it :O The same one he had in the W3 cinematic! No more plain looking vendor hammer for Thrall! A sign that they are starting to upgrade his model perhaps?

Rightfully wielding Doomhammer, finally.

My bet is he'll get a new model when Cataclysm hits, I do think he'll change outfit too, or at least update Doomhammers armor.

I always wondered why they updated Jaina before Thrall. Maybe they're waiting until Cata, when Thrall will be out there.

Jaina was more or less right by you all throughout Icecrown, and since her Hordeside equivalent Sylvanas had already been given a semi-unique model (sharing a base with Alexstrasza's elven form) Jaina was given a bit of polish and a new, much prettier face. I imagine Thrall, Garrosh, and (hopefully) the other racial leaders will at least be receiving unique armor sets if not unique models. It's time Tyrande stopped flouncing around in a mid-level dress and started kicking ass again.

Neat. Hopefully this is the start of many updates to existing leader models/armor.

I think Thrall should get some unique amor, and not some warr or shaman set....

This shows Alliance favoritism from Blizzard. Because Thrall has been in the game for HOW long and yet Varian got a snazzy update

I think it's less about the look and more about the lore.

At least that's how it is for me. Though I'm glad to see Blizzard updating the models.
