The palace as different colours because of a few reasons: the palace wasn't like that once it was started to be built, meaning that it only had one of it's part, after a new century, a new king added a new part to it, and so on, hence the different colours and there's different architecture in there.
I don't know how to explain this properly because I lack history education.
