Gameboy (advance) and other such older systems are usually fairly decent when it comes to not having viruses now since not many people go for them. Things for the newer consoles will definitely screw you over though.

However, I recall that talking about emulators here is frowned upon...

They've started emulating simple homebrew stuff on ps3
PS2 emulation is mostly fine, almost 80% are complete-able.

Played FF12/10/KH 1+2/Shadows of the Colossus and I think some others in 1080p with AA, only one I had problems with was spiderman 2 which does freak out unless you play in software mode.

Considering how different the PS3's architecture is compared to a PC's... Yeah, emulating one simply doesn't work in the majority of cases. A Blade server might be able to though since it does have about the same architecture.
