I would jump on this immediately to try to fish up a shiny Skrelp but, sadly, I own X so that isn't possible for me.
I just wanted some input from you guys since the conversation here tends to be a bit more, um, mature than what goes on at GFAQs.

Is the ''pokémon can't breed with offspring'' still intact? otherwise IV breeding is going to get tougher :s

So, I have a request for help from more experienced Pokemon battlers. A bunch of the Pokemon people in my area organized a sort of Poke-Party last night and we intend to make it a weekly thing. The highlight of the evening involved draft double battles in which teams were selected by drawing names from a hat and then everyone split off to battle. Those that won their rounds had their names put back into the hat. Repeat until only two players remain.
This was an absolute ton of fun. It's especially insane because you have to make the best of what you and the random teammate have that can function together. This was spur of the moment and nobody knew in advance that mass scale double battles would be happening so there wasn't enough organization to really do stuff like Flyer / Earthquake or Explosion / Protect or Helping Hand or any of the common team synergy stuff.
So my question is this: Next week people are going to show up with 2v2 draft in mind. I have very little 2v2 experience; so I'm basically fishing for ideas that could work decently well in a 2v2 situation BUT needs to be flexible enough to work regardless of who or what I get partnered with. That means that stuff that hits everybody like Discharge or Earthquake is probably not viable.
Though, for the record, it's not a super competitive game environment.
