As the police captured s.abdeslam (the paris attadks) neighbourhood revolts.

Yesterday while the police raided molenbeek (brussels) and captured one of the terrorists behind the paris attacks (Saleh Abdeslam) The whole neighbourhood got angry , started throwing rocks and insulting the police.

    (see video here http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/32616/Terre...dhtml?show=art)

The extensive presence of the police and the media in Molenbeek in response to the large-scale anti-terrorist action, apparently shot at some hotheads in the wrong way. Agents were booed and journalists went vandalized vehicles home.

In the video we see a gathering crowd of curious around the Vierwindenstraat in Molenbeek. The majority of young people gathered to film the whole thing with their smartphone.

There is a tense atmosphere and repeatedly "fils de pute (son of a whore) 'called the cops.

"Arrived in #Molenbeek to find siege and gunfire on. Instead watching local kids smash up our satellite trucks. Enchanté," writes BBC journalist James Morgan at a picture of a satellite car with a cracked windshield.

Stijn Eylenbosch, who works for Medialaan even saw while riding a stone thrown at his vehicle. "Even more cleanup work #Molenbeek" sounds.

I propose we invite Russia to join the fight against the ISIS in Belgium, they'll turn Molenbeek into a parking lot within 5 minutes and also take all the bad press, everyone is happy.

From what I'm getting out of the google translate is that some people did, not the neighbourhood.

The article says: "some hotheads" and "a gathering that observed". There is indeed no mention of the entire neighborhood.

Would be hard to ever say "the entire" given that some people might not even have been aware, that there's children and such which can't participate for various reasons and so on. Calling them "some hotheads" however is an attempt at downplaying these people getting together to get involved. It's a developement similar to the London riots and other occurences that's boding ill and pointing towards a quickly developing "Us" and "them" mentality which is going way to far for comfort but happily ignored and downplayed by parts of the groups it's aimed at.

No one is denying that Molenbeek is a shithole, but stating that the 'entire' neighborhood revolted is a bit exaggerated. It was a bunch of hotheads.

It's not a "bunch of hotheads", please stop try to add descriptions to these people similar to "children will be children" to downplay it. There's political and ideological motivated resistance and challenging of authorities going on these people simply do not accept as authorities. It's the same in quite a few other places and trying deflectionism aswell as denial aren't exactly going to solve these issues.

This looks like a misrepresentation of what actually happend.

Btw.: Did you use google translate to generate your first post? The "English" in there is a bit wonky. Google translate only gives you a gist of what might have happened, you should find a real translation for something accurate.

Exaggerating events is also not helpful since it reinforces the aggressive sentiment.

That protest looked really tame by American standards.

No, I simply don't buy that subscription nor support it in the same way I didn't go for the Police calling "NYE in Cologne 2015 > 2016 mostly quiet" and the news echoing it.
