Q: Will we be hearing from any of the old or neglected human nations in Cata, specifically Stromgarde, Kul'tiras, and the remnants of Alterac (hey, Deathwing paraded around as an Alterac noble before)?
A: With the revamp of the classic World of Warcraft zones, players will get a chance to see how the fallen nations of Stromgarde and Alterac have fared over the last few years. Kul Tiras, the island nation, will not be visible at the start of Cataclysm – something about tectonic plates shifting it out to sea....

Granted, this is old information now, but it's the best we have about Kul Tiras from Blizzard.
3 hints to surviving MMO-C forums:
1.) If you have an opinion, someone will say that it is wrong
2.) If you have a source, there will be people who refuse to believe it
3.) If you use logic, it will be largely ignored
btw: Spires of Arak = Arakkoa.

Thats actually pretty interesting. Seems like it fits a lot better with everything else.

Although it looks kinda choppy because everything else is still missing and/or proportions are kinda off.

Sorta related: do we even know where Kul'Tiras is in light of the new map? Fourteen years since WC3 came out and we still don't know where Jaina's homeland is (must be faraway to have avoided the destruction of the past decade and a half of crises, as if it was powerful enough to defend itself from said crises it'd practically be a superpower rivaling that of the Alliance and Horde and that's not what we have heard).

Kinda off topic but Teldrassil was really close to nordrassil in pangea

    Teldrassil didn't exist until WoW.

Nice post. The lore of the Broken Isles changed a lot as before it was literally a bunch of islands close to one another that were abandoned with a few left behind demons and some undead orcs from ancient times (Warcraft 3 lore). But now they've sorta made it full of different kingdoms with a ton of lore, which is fine.

Technically, after the sundering there was an island called Kalidar off the coast of Darkshore, which is where Fandral planted the seeds to grow Teldrassil.

Haha if that's the proper scaling, then the wandering isle has about a football field of (at least 2D (since people with lungs live on it)) space to move around

Northrend looks almost connected to broken isles.

Like they are part of the same "region"?
Yeah seems the shallow water is circling both continent.

i just wonder how eversong woods can seem so warm and comfy, when the area is more north than wintersprings, or at line with the southern part of stormpeaks and icecrown.

The elves enchanted the entire forest, otherwise it would be cold up there.

Well, you could go with the Elven Magic answer, or you could look to real world examples of places like the British Isles where due to how the ocean currents work, does not receive nearly enough snow as other places on the same latitudes.

"Magic did it" most probably, the elven lands in general always looked too perfect to be true.
