Yeah. I'm not saying that Islam is the only factor that gave rise to Isis, far from it, but saying it has nothing to do with it is like saying the crusades had nothing to do with christianity. There are some very barbaric things in these 'holy' books and you can't pull a no true scottsman fallacy when people enforce the parts of them you don't agree with.

Not at all, there isn't really anything in the Koran that is worse/dumber than the stuff in the bible yet you don't see Christians stoning women to death for getting divorced/etc so it's not the book that's the problem. As 99% of Muslims are peaceful it's not the people who follow Islam that are the problem. As Atheism has spawned just as many atrocities it's not having ideals that are the problem. This implies the problem is in fact just a group of violent extremists who use their fake understanding of their religion as an excuse to justify their crap.

ISIS are not a product of their religion, they would be just as mad if they were Catholics or Jews, they are a product of decades of terrible western foreign policy in the middle east. Since WW2 the west has meddled in the middle east non stop, as a result many peaceful developing nations with equal rights are now dictatorships where women cannot even show their face.

They grow up with foreign invaders killing people all around them and repressing their people, they are uneducated and believe the words of radical hate preachers, the end result would be the same if they were being told about how the flying spaghetti monster demanded the blood of the infidels to make it's tomato sauce.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any versus in the holy bible that say all non believers should either be converted or murdered, and raped first while your at it. Also hatred for the western world goes a lot further back than WW2. Look up the British empires role in India shortly after the East Indian Trading Co got there. There are ties to modern day terrorists that go back into the late 1800's from the shit the nutters of Christianity did.
