There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge." - Isaac Asimov
Funny because if I used your argument and added a sprinkle of Godwin's law, the results would be pretty frightening.
Also you are operating under the premise that all of the straight 90% operate under your misguided ignorance, which just shows how out of touch with reality you really are
"It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all outta ass."
I'm a British gay Muslim Pakistani American citizen, ask me how that works! (terribly)
Noticed on the new ID card in the Netherlands that it says
gender/sex
M/M
I guess that's a way for transexuals to change their gender while still know it's.
Wondering what is the reason why their are seperate bathrooms of the sexes?
I could say the same thing to you. I don't understand the obtuse pedantry but it is very clear you have some sort of other agenda.
Maybe you want to feel like your stunted bigotry is acceptable because some countries have applied the first world label to themselves but still struggle with human rights issues? Who knows.

Our hate speech laws covers expressing disrespect. I'm not really seeing the problem when it's about lgbt people or based on someones skin color or race or whatever. The only issue I have with the hate speech law in Sweden is that it also covers religion, which makes it function like a blasphemy law due to expressing disrespect can be penalized. Beyond that, I have no problem with the law.

Fair enough. It's sad that such laws are needed to begin with. Our hate speech laws covers expressing disrespect. so if I'm a guy I can use the women's bathroom as long as I tell target officials that I identify as a woman???
Oh I see, you admit that you're just a pedant.
Like I have said several times, if it puts your mind to ease I don't come up with the meaning of words in a vacuum and you are free to educate yourself further on the subject if you're interested in a cure for your ignorance.
I'll give you a cliffnotes version: human rights violations don't help countries gain the first world label by others, regardless of who uses it to describe themselves.
