Eventually that is fine and dandy yes cause people will probably play more then me after release which is fine and logical.
Running into people with closed beta experience who rip to your team however is less fun at this point, though expected after everything reset.
But yes its QM so who cares, I just play the rest of the map and make no illusions about killing a genji or tracer with 100's of levels under his closed beta belt.

I'd like to see some more gametypes in the full launch. Whilst the payload and territories are fun, I could see them getting dull after a few weeks. I'd like a CTF type.

I don't usually play FPS, and if I do they usually are heavy story based with a little puzzle interaction FPS like Bioshock. That being said, I found Overwatch fun to play, however the lack of different objectives are concerning. I played around 10+ "escort the payloads" in a row adn it got old pretty fast...now this is beta and early game play so I'm sure other objectvie will be released, and I really hope storyline team play will be incorperated as well, but for now its nothing I would l\sink 50bucks into

Quick tip from the TF2 world that can help you out. No one likes to look up. Even if they know there is a Pharah above them, they are reluctant to try and hit them because then they'll be blind to everything on ground level.

Main problem I have with the game is that without at least 1 support healer, winning a game is next to impossible vs an equally skilled team with a healer. While I appreciate the teamwork going on there, it only makes solo pubbing worse when everyone wants to play soldier 76 or widowmaker because sniping and auto-aim is cool.

  6. #446
    You could play a support.

Game is really enjoyable, not worth its price tag though (in my opinion). Balance also partially seems to be all over the place and I don't like the "A counters B" mentality, especially when B is pretty much always an easy kill for A regardless of skill. Skill then class should be the deciding factor (once again, in my opinion).

Getting it post release when it is no longer lacking in content (18 heroes are good but there are way too few maps and seeing how most matches end within ten minutes, they will get old pretty fast. A vast selection of playable characters will not change this) and discounted.

Part of the game strategy is to quickly adapt to other heroes. What you're complaining about? That's the point they're trying to achieve. Also, you have to consider if it's worth to you rock-paper-scissoring an opponent as your ult is just about to come up. It makes for interesting choices and that's usually a good thing.

And there is still no reason for this guy shitting over every damn post on this topic with his bullshit.
If you don't like it then go play something else.
If you do, come on here and discuss things.

before attacking me you should actually read the toxic shit that is coming out of his fingers instead of jumping to his aid like a white knight.
You think that's an attack? That?

Sport, that's barely even a response. You have some very delicate skin there, little china doll, if that offends you so much. And it's ironic that you complain about someone else crapping up every thread. Very ironic indeed.

We are allowed to have negative opinions. That's all they are, you know. Opinions.

Your points seem entirely unreasonable. You're projecting your own personal preferences as if they're objective truths.
And every map is the same - mostly tight, closed spaces, with the occasional open area for big fights. Just like BC had mostly corridor, room, corridor, room maps.

Odd how the game is supposed to encourage hero swapping, and yet you lose all of your ultimate charge when you do.

Even this went during OVERTIME to from 0/99 to 100/99). I would like more balanced matches. If your team fails to recapture the objective in perhaps maybe two tries, it is probably already too late.
Yep. Every other game I played, there's much more score balance. This one, I've never seen a match that's so close, you couldn't tell who was going to win. Every time one team started scoring, that was it. That's not right, and that's not fun.

Played the game for around 10 hours so far, what I learned is:

Community is already toxic incarnate. I've played countless hours of dota 2, CS:GO and TF2 and in just my 10 hour play session, I've never seen so much hatred and complaning about "picking a wrong hero" or the "don't pick my hero noob" complaint. I'd say it's about equal to LoL.

Second thing is that Q = Skill. My friend and I love to call the ultimate skills things such as "I got the Q in my sight", "It's high Q", "Fire in the Q", "Q's never die", "Q,Q,Q,Q,Q". Play of the game is usually someone pressing Q. When someone whines about Q skills, you can reply with "QQ more", which is amazing.

Maps are ok, but sure has a lot of "filler" content that doesn't exactly lead anywhere, contains no ammo or health kit and usually ends up in a dead end. Feels claustrophobic, compared to CS:GO or TF2 maps.

    Overall it's decent enough.

Really? Every time someone's done that in this thread, people like you and "mod" Endus have gone after them, ripped apart their opinions, and even wasted time with semantics.

It can be very hard to take the momentum out of the enemy team if they're on a roll, yes. Mainly because they gained that momentum by wrecking your team and then your team refuses to switch heroes.

It would be OP if this was left in like that; everyone could charge their ult and all change to something like hanzo and u have 6 dragons coming at you at once with no where to run. That's why you lose the ultimate charge when you change heroes.

    Heroes are insanely unbalanced.

1- Reinhardt is absurdly way over the power level compared to the other tanks. Roadhog is well balanced. D.Va, Winston and Zarya are quite weak compared to these two.
2- A team of: Reinhardt, Bastion, Mercy, 2 Mei's and a Symmetra/Reaper is just undefeatable.
3- Each hero should be limited to two per game. Seeing 5 Bastions or 3 Torbjörns in the opposing teams makes me quit the game from the get go. I can't stand that imbalance.
4- Torbjörn's turret is well over the balance level, way too much damage and way too much range. The hero is the turret, almost-not Torbjörn.
5- Symmetra is op as well(I'm a Symmetra player). Her Sentry Turrets should be reduced to 4.
6- The strongest hero absolutely is Junkrat, can cover an insane amount of area. Nothing can stop a good Junkrat player.
7- Of all the roles, offense heroes are all well balanced. Of the defense heroes I believe Mei and Junkrat should be modified down a bit, their effect margin to the game is just way too big. Widowmaker, Hanzo and Bastion are well balanced in solo occasions, but 4 Hanzos or 5 Bastions is not. Torbjörn's turret problem is stated above. Of the tanks Reinhardt should literally be nerfed. And of the support, Symmetra seems above the tolerance limit with her 6 sentries.

I believe the major flaw of the game is a bit off the main road. It should somehow separate the "casual" teams and "pro" teams. Not complaining, but it was an experience I stumbled upon when I wanted to play with a group of friends just for fun. Our goal was to have fun, but the game put us in front of a pro gamer team which literally demolished us down to our atoms. They were doing everything to win: Changing necessary heroes, doing all the retarded "not-so-fun" tactics, just to win. I really have big respect to pro teams, but as a casual player I just wanted to play Genji and I didn't want the need to switch to Bastion in any situation. The game's design just doesn't allow you to play your favorite hero and it forces you to swap heroes here and there just to win. That's not fun.

So Blizzard should find a way to separate people who like to play their favorite heroes and pros from each other.

Also another experience: Overwatch doesn't improve your socialness. It induces an immense hatred in each individual. It feeds hatred. I've never seen so much hatred in any game I've previously played. I take it as a very, very dangerous path chosen by Blizzard to proceed. I hope they bring balance to the game to cut the hatred off, otherwise I'm really reluctant to participate in Overwatch. Too much negative atmosphere.

If you see someone raging in chat just report them. Start to see a lot of it on the forums but people tend to say 'just swap heroes' thinking that all their worries will vanish when they do.

It is because blizz wants their games to be team games so they can be esports.

Now that is fine for pro level stuff, but when it comes to casual random people together it just does not work. People only see each other doing things they didn't like. It is like in hots... at least in this game it is harder to see, if someone just sit at some corner collecting kills and does not help team otherwise... like capturing/defending objectives.

I can see myself playing this game after release and I'm hoping that there will be good and bad people equally in teams at the level I play. If the game continues to be one sided wins and losses all the time... well... that is another matter. The game is fun though and I'd like it to succeed, but if it fails to blizzards inablity to understand some of us don't want to always TEAM TEAM TEAM. Some of us are forever alone!! Most people start alone or with one or two friends. If they don't stay in the game long enough to find friends and teams, it will never gain good playerbase.

It actually is possible and I've done it several times this morning. A healer doesn't mean instant win. You focus down the healer first and he/she will be basically doing nothing the entire match.

I used to have problems with Bastion until someone said Genji is a hard counter.

I tried it just now, my god Genji just rips through Bastion. The Deflect is so OP against Bastion, run up and Deflect, then Charge him and Bastion is easy pickings.

If the enemy team has 2-4 bastions... that's a whole new problem.
