A bit intrigued as to how a lead developer can main a class that has played like garbage for half a decade, but then again, GC mained a Shadow Priest so.....

In terms of the rest of the stuff in the Update, not even slightly surprised or excited. All stuff we already knew.

WoD leveling was probably the fastest it has ever been. I hit level cap around 80% through Spires of Arak (great zone btw) every time, having completed each storyline and bonus objective in the zones as I went through them. That's of course without heirlooms. I didn't stick around long enough in WoD to upgrade them to 100. Can't imagine how much sooner I would have hit cap with them.

Mop and Cataclysm leveling were just equally as fast, if you exclude both the end zones which were terribly long (dread wastes and twilight highlands).

holy priest***. Also you can play a character your entire lifetime doesn't necessarily mean you'll have insight and be good at it, a lot of players nowadays are the prime example of that.

Why is it hard to understand that class design is a group activity and noone gets to play favourites with his toon?

Its not a matter of favorites. Its a matter of "I have an understanding of how this class works, maybe my insight could be of use when designing this class and or spec."

I definitely hit cap in WoD much faster than MoP. Don't know about cataclysm, skipped that expansion.

Cata I took about 2 days to level off and on.

MoP took me a solid week to level.

WoD took me 6 hours.

Just got an email that says they are shutting down the alpha today.

They are launching Beta in a couple days. And apparently they are doing an alpha character wipe? I dunno where that came from, but its been mentioned many times today.
