Started watching Spice and Wolf last night.

Episode 1:

Premise sounds interesting and I'm certainly down to watch more of it, but the first episode didn't do much for me. Holo's constant state of being nude bothered me more than it should, especially since she was so...undefined... breasts generally have nipples and...details...not just slight bumps and that's it. I get why she was nude, but would have vastly preferred her to be dressed after meeting the protagonist. However, I did enjoy the out-of-context quote: 'Either you take those clothes off and leave...'. Hopefully it picks up from here. And, to be clear, I know it's a dialogue heavy show.

I admit I chuckled, but I also agree...though I haven't watched it in years and I'm really due for a rewatch (at my own pace)

I decided I'd hit a backlog anime before a rewatch since I recently did yu yu hakusho for 112 eps :P

It was really high on the poll when we last voted for what to rewatch, but the whole thing kinda fizzled out after most of us couldn't stick to the schedule on Hanasaku Iroha.

Yeah clannad we had quite a few watching it along with me week to week (and the arcs went quite well split up). I had a nice S&W split way back in probably the other thread, but I personally lost interest when I was the only one following my re-watch schedule of iroha >_>

Count me in with Hemo because it does get much better. S&W is great.

Spice and Wolf is great, but it doesn't pick up. It's a great show if you're a fan of economics and markets, along with medieval European culture. Slow paced, but good.

I'm thinking rewatches would work better for one cour anime that can maintain viewer interests. Not sure if Spice and Wolf can keep the maintaining.

I'd probably die if I had to watch Katanagatari again, but I'm up for SSY.

I could do SSY, but I feel like people rewatch that so much as is in the thread without it having to be a group one.

Though really for a rewatch we should get something that's exciting for each episode, even if it's not amazing.

For example, not that I would recommend it for rewatch, but Mirai Nikki would keep people's interests for each episode, because something happens each episode.

I don't think it needs to have something happen every episode, since it's usually split up into a couple episodes per discussion, right? So as long as something happens frequently worth talking about it should be good.

I mean something like Steins;Gate could work, since things are somewhat separated into "arcs", as least in the second half. Might not work because of the slow start though.

I still haven't rewatched SSY before though so that's my top pick.

Steins;Gate would be a great pick, since it's one of those top anime that everyone's either seen, or if they haven't they need to.
