Why wait for time when we have every educated prediction to suggest Britain will either a) end up begging the EU to take them back after a decade or two or b) cease to be relevant in world affairs.

The UK will have their work cut out, they will have to resign a lot of trade deals, and with them not being part of the EU they will be less favorable for them. they don't even have to be draconian.
