The British press / media has really, really disappointed me they way they have conducted themselves post Brexit.

Everything from the 9 o'clock news to breakfast shows, tabloid to broadsheet. Even the BBC stooped lower than ever.

Scouring for interviews with "regrixiters", yes polls showed that 11% were undecided I am sure you can find plenty of people second guessing there vote.
People Googling what happens when we leave the EU, well of course that makes sense we just voted out and not everyone voted either! And not even mentioning the localized spot where the searches were happening was in areas that voted to remain.
Oh and my favorite the pound is at its lowest since 1985!!! BTW that 2 pence lower than February 2016 guess thats not as good a headline.

The sweetest of talk show hosts have started to look more like Jeremy Carlisle than Phillip Schofield.

Then again, i don't consider myself intellectually superior to everyone else, nor do i go onto to insult them and act like they are the maggots of society, that shouldn't be allowed to hold an opinion on things, so there's that.

If not being in the EU is like being unemployed I find it highly suspicious that there's all these non-EU countries in the world that are doing just fine, including some in Europe that depends on the rest of Europe for trade.

There's nothing inherently problematic about having trade deals, defensive deals and a whole lot more with the rest of Europe without giving up the kind of power that the EU demands. The only thing in the way of that currently is the EU refusing because they're afraid of losing power.

And if the EU is the body causing the problem, that's a very shitty argument to remain in the EU.

But even if what you say is true it still does not excuse what the conservative party has done.

Or do you think it does? Do you think that because labour might have done the same then its perfectly fine for the Tories to inflate a ginormous asset bubble? Are you really making that argument?
The UK economy has just suffered one of the worst hits imaginable, yet it has not collapsed and does not look like it will collapse, which shows it is robust. With that in mind, what exactly is wrong with the Conservative approach, other than you do not personally like it?

Guess the British just don't like a taste of their own medicine after colonising so many parts of the world

I can't target one person at the time so I will call everyone who voted leave an idiot because there are no good reasons to leave except a few politicians trying to make a career ( Mr Mini trump, the ex mayor of your biggest financial hub?)
So you're deliberately being ignorant just to throw shade? If you can't understand why people voted LEAVE and decided to simplify it to RACISM that shows a lack of willingness to understand. I saw both the pros and cons on both sides so perhaps that's why I aren't biased

It's amusing to see someone want a nation to burn. So much for so called self righteousness.

I'm disappointed the thread title wasn't referring to their weather.

The current "bad atmosphere" in Britain, economically and socially, comes from uncertainty. People are still trying to figure out what separating from the EU is going to mean for them, with projections only being just that: projections. Nobody knows what's going to happen until things start rolling and the British people start responding. I have a feeling this will be good for them in the long run.

the UK will be better off now that it has the autonomy to harden its borders.

there's quite a lot of animosity between the left and trump voters in the US, with 90% of the violence over it coming from the left. it sickens me that a lot of these people hold the same ideals as i do. i don't want to be conflated with the left that behaves like they do, or the left that bends over backwards to lick islamic taint.

just know that your country will be better without the EU forcing its regressive ideals down your throat. that's exactly what the EU's ideals are, the epitome of regressive left.

You have literally done nothing yet. There was a vote and it is clear that no one in charge really wants to abide by it. You try to extrapolate from one data point to another and predict that this is all that will happen - ever. That is not how extrapolation works.

So you're angry because you lost a job not because we left EU? If your job was safe would you be angry?

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
I won't be silent, and the Leave side are the initial steps of the same horrible things that have happened so many other times in the past.

Why shouldn't I? Why should I respect their opinion? Especially when I know for an absolute fact that they are wrong. I want to make them angry, I want to make them feel insulted. And I refuse to compromise on this issue.

We are leaving the EU, it is a matter of when and what deals will be in place, how those deals are perceived may create more turbulence but uncertainty is the market killer, we have ridden that storm so far and there is nothing to suggest we will not continue to ride any future storms.

People have this black and white image of the world, it is either great or crap, but there is a middle way and that looks to be the path we are on. I would have prefered the great path, but hey ho, shit happens.

Oh please. Now its obvious you are a partisan hack. Its extremely obvious to anyone with the slightest bit of common sense that the UK economy is in dire shape. It runs a massive trade deficit of 7% of GDP on the back of an asset bubble. That asset bubble is creating a feel good effect which is sucking in imports which when it pops will crater the economy. We have seen exactly the same thing happen time and time again. It happened in Spain, it happened in the US, it happened in Ireland. In each and every case fools like yourself came along and said how great the economy was doing, everything is booming, people are doing well, nothing can go wrong. But its not different this time and given how much damage was done the last time the bubble popped, the fact that the leader of the UK is a total idiot who then goes and doubles down on it leaves me speechless. The UK has interest rates at near zero. Its debt to GDP is still rising. It has little to no room to maneuver. So when the bubble goes this time its going to be wayyy wayyy worse than 2008.

    Do you get it now?

Well by what you wrote in the OP it seems like it is an issue that other people have and you are just pissed because the tone in which they argue about the future of their country is not nice enough for your taste. Your caveat that you didn't vote doesn't exactly alleviate that. If that is a misinterpretation then I'm sorry, but it certainly doesn't appear to be the case .
