    Building a PC for Legion

I'm looking to build a PC, as of now specifically for running Legion. I'll upgrade as necessary in the future for any games I decide to play but as it stands, I have a $900 budget which has to include OS, monitor, all peripherals, and a desk for the rig to sit on, which means I'm looking at around a $650 budget max for the system itself.. Here's what I've come up with in my price range:
    CPU: Intel i3-6100 3.7GHz
GPU: ASUS Turbo GTX 970 4GB
Motherboard: ASRock H110M-ITX/ac Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard
PSU: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Case: VIVO CASE-V03 ATX Mid Tower Case
    RAM: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory

What I'm most hung up on as it stands is going with the i3-6100 + GTX 970 or moving to an i5-6400 and bumping the GPU down to a GTX 960 or R9 380, and what kind of settings and FPS I can expect from either build. Anyone have any input on which direction I should lean for Legion and what to expect performance wise?

Wow is more CPU demanding then GPU so better the CPU better the fps.

With that said both are solid but I would go with the i5 over the i3. You should have stable 60fps/1080p Ultra in most content besides mythic raiding.

My build below holds 60fps+ in most area's of the game and stable 30fps or so in raids (abit more in LFR).

IMO get two 4gig sticks of ram and not 1 8gig.

Through this together real quick... I looked at it with your total budget of $900... which I went over just a little (Mainly because of Windows, which you can get for less than $100 if you look...)

This will just leave you to get a desk.. and you can find one cheap on craigslist I'm sure...

On other thing to consider though.. do you live near a Microcenter at all? That can drastically change things...

Can u tell me what ur settings are? I have an i5 4690k too with 16gig mem and an r9 390(8gb)gpu. It feels like i should be getting 60fps minium constantly anywhere i go, but thats not the case. In warspear and ashran and some other areas i drop to 40ish fps at times and it is angering me.

I am running max settings at 1080p. I also take a small hit in warspear and ashran. There is area's of the game I hit 40-50fps and some where its 60fps.

i3 6100 will run better than i5 6400. Your budget for all those is very tight. For o/s i would try kinguin for like 20bucks or so. That would leave you around 200$ for a decent desk. For the rig, i would suggest something like this:

G105 is not worth it. Just get something like CM Storm Devastator or even Logitech K120.
