I like the idea of him standing up for himself after all the work he put into his campaigning, but with the stakes of wanting to keep the presidency away from Trump I don't know if he'll allow himself to do it just to keep the democrats from being divided. I sure would be terribly angry and embarrased up on that stage though trying to play it off, though... glad to not be in his position tonight. I hope he gets out of this with some dignity and pride to his name because I feel that he's earned his right to it. Wonder what he'll say.

Bernie Sanders, like Ron Paul before him, never intended to be president and always knew he didn't stand a chance. You don't need a master in political science to know that this guy will never be president. It's a business, he do it for money and that's it. So yes he's a fraud, but if you have people gullible enough to give him money why not ? He's the Ron Paul of the democrats. You have a guy like that in almost every democracy.

Sure, some will. Some would have regardless of anything that the DNC did. This makes it worse -- and makes Bernie's goal of having his supporters vote for Hillary that much harder.

An anti-Trump message without a pro-Hillary message will only reduce Democratic turnout. Bernie's goal isn't to surpress the vote...it's to turn out enough democratic voters FOR HILLARY to ensure a Trump defeat.

There is no logic here. "If Bernie just held out and didn't endorse Clinton he could have salvaged someone." That makes zero sense when the end game is to have Clinton defeat Trump.

There isn't a third option here. It's either Trump vs Hillary and voters staying home on the democratic side isn't going to magically get Hillary elected.
Not all of Bernie's supporters were for the progressive agenda, many supported him b/c of the outsider anti-establishment, anti-wall street, anti-corruption message which is pretty much anti-Hillary. Imo Bernie is as different from Hillary as he is from Trump. Sometimes if u want a candidate to win the best thing to do is distance yourself from a candidate and push from a different angle. Many went to Bernie b/c he was not Hillary, his message was against what makes ppl hate Hillary. When u endorse someone that represent a lot of what ur message is against ur going to push a lot of voters away. Then when information comes out that supports one of ur major narratives and ur still backing the problem u were fighting against a lot of ppl r going to get angry. It's not just about his socialist message, he was very anti Hillary. Her VP doesn't represent anything that Bernie stood for, y would voters go to Hillary when it looks like she isn't going to do anything for them.

The logic is Hillary has major negatives, even among Bernie supporters. It probably would have been better for Bernie to support Hillary by not obviously supporting her and pushing an anti-Trump agenda. B/c for many Bernie endorsing Hillary will look like a sell out since his campaign was heavily against a lot of what Hillary stands for, that's y they supported Bernie over Hillary.

Ugh, once again, Sanders wasn't booed. The idea of voting for Hillary was booed. Sanders is basically getting a lot of support right now, that's why this is even happening, and the DNC obviously.

When you say to back Hillary and you get booed, that's getting booed. Doesn't mean everything he says is.

No, it obviously doesn't. The boo wasn't boo you Bernie. Those delegates love Bernie more than Bernie loves Bernie. He was cheered madly 99 percent of his speech. Bernie supporters don't want to support her, especially in light of all these DNS issues.

Do you guys have at least a fraction of real life?
Jesus Christ.. Every little bit of RL detail happens in these forums for you.
    It's actually pretty sad.

I mean.. I am sympathetic to Bernie and his program. But if you fools think that rambling around on online forums changes a thing, you must be dreaming.
Or if you think that it has anything to do with the President's job, you must be dreaming.

If you had 2 cents worth of brains, and put the money where the mouth (or the fingers) is, you'd be out there trying to get different senators and representatives in the house.
That's where change has to happen, in congress, not in the oval office.
The oval office, for now, however is immensely important for the country's international relationships.

I actually do wish more people would bring this up. Say what you want about disliking Clinton and/or Trump, but Congress has a higher dislike than both.

of course..... and yet, here we are, watching the crowds of both camps following the perspective leaders like brainless monkeys.
All of a sudden that disastrous congress doesn't exist anymore. All of a sudden that bad state of congress is all but the other side's fault.
It isn't the other side. Those guys have dinner together, lunch together, going out for a drink together, share the same hookers. You name it.

How will Sanders supporters make it to the convention? They don't own cars.
Sanders supporter here. I own a 2007 Hyundai Sonata.

And you should come to Maine, like every other car here has a Bernie bumper sticker.

Some Democratic Politician just said on CNN that it helped Bernie Sanders during the race in regards to the DNC leaked e-mails.

    Hahaha.

    Wow.

    That is brass balls.

Edit, whoa. CNN just went to break during another round of raucous boos, not sure who was speaking, but they quickly went to break.

No, they are passionate about their country, they are passionate about battling against the corruption and dishonestly of the DNC and Hillary Clinton.

They will not be quiet. They will be heard.

This is a movement, and it will only get stronger.

I agree, and these ideas didn't emerge from Bernie. That's the thing. He represented those ideas in his campaign. So imo even if he's saying support Hillary, it won't resonate.

Lots of Bernie chants going on. Hillary isn't getting these votes.

hahhahaha I love watching this burn, the protests at the DNC are way bigger than those at the RNC, and thanks to some leaked emails and Hillary's utter stupidity and poor judgement the flames of discontent were reignited.
