Good Morning MMO-Champs,
Do any of you know of any legit ways (paid if need be) to know my IQ?
Also maybe a way to benchmark it or something. I've always been curious how high (or low) my IQ is compared to the rest of the world.

A lot of the questions on the IQ test will be harder than finding a good IQ test, so if you have to ask about which IQ test is good....
just kidding. But really, check out https://www.us.mensa.org. Their test would be a valid and legitimate way.

Confidence in yourself and your capabilities is faaaaaaar greater than IQ scores. But yeah, if you must have numbers and stuff, then mensa is where you go.
Mensa test barely challenges your mathematical and deductive skills. It does not take into consideration the other schools of learning - it cannot be taken seriously. Still, it's a nice challenge.
I don't think you'll find any reliable way to know your IQ beside going to a professional psychologist. Sadly, most of them will not do one if there's no reason to do so (IE: Learning disorders).

Increase usage of the word "legit".
That will boost your brain power before an IQ test.
If that doesn't work, at the very least, you'll sound more like a legit ass scientist.
"I'm not stuck in the trench, I'm maintaining my rating."
All IQ tests always test how good you fit the examiners expectations and defintions of "intelligence" and "competence", thus there is cultural bias in all of them.

Two types of people in this thread:
"lolololol I'm so smart IQ tests are so easy! They don't even prove anything!"
"lolololol I got a bad score on an IQ test so the test is flawed and biased!"

Hey guys, I'm not a licensed psychologist, but I do have a Master's degree in Counseling and have experience with and have done research on IQ tests.
The only real way to know is to have an IQ test like the WISC or the WAIS administered by a licensed psychologist. I won't bore you with the details, but they are designed to eliminate, or at least minimize, the effects of anything other than your intelligence. Research has been done that shows that the effects of cultural bias are also not as bad as many seem to believe, though the professional administering the test needs to take such things into account when reviewing the results with the client. Don't try to put such an emphasis on the single number, as intelligence is broken down into several different domains. You can see such things as cultural knowledge, processing speed, working memory, visual comprehension, etc.
A real IQ test analysis will have several different number ranges, and these can help identify areas where you may be particularly strong or weak. It can help shine light on things if you've had difficulty with school in the past for example. In the end, though, if you are a well-adjusted individual who is able to function in life it should not really be anything more than a novelty you pay a lot of money to find out.
I took a bunch of online IQ tests once, figured maybe an average of a lot of them would be more accurate. Happy with my scores, but the scores varied by up to 30 points (on the same day) depending on which test I took. All pretty "serious" ones as well, Mensa, research and university sites.
So good score, still think the online versions are horribly bad.
Yeah I know, figured he was referring to people talking about online ones as well, most people haven't done a real one.
Just saying my reason for distrusting them isn't based deflection
I found a long one once that was a part of a research project and gave a very detailed report with no payed option, but even that varied immensely in score from try to try. I guess even the "best" ones are just too short and limited to give a decent result.
Don't do an online test, ever, they're flawed in so many ways. The only way to really determine your iq is to do a test under supervision of a psychologist.
This should get more visibility. I remember asking my clinical psychologist about IQ tests (I have GAD, long story short I was afraid to be dumb), but ultimately its highly discouraged if you have no relevancy to have one. Not impossible, but not recommended. At this point in life, you should know what your worth is. Since I now focus on what I accomplish rather than what I could, I don't have the same need to know. Its still an itch, but its a manageable itch.
