looking at the speeches tonight, democrats are angling to be more of the warmonger party than the republicans. considering who their nominee is, it's not a shock.

sanders' political revolution is a failure, tonight cemented it. the only hope to change the system now, is to break it with trump. or elect that anti-science nutjob stein.

Actually the real reason is the big banks won't work with him. Well Deutsche Bank does but none of the others do (and by all accounts DB is FUBAR and close to failing). Trump has just stiffed too many people in the financial sector and made too many promises he has later reneged on which have then cost them buckets of money. They don't trust him. Its kinda ironic really. The crooks of wall street hate crooks who stiff them.

I don't know about austin but in philadelphia, the city is horrible. It's gotten progressively worse too since it was deemed a sanctuary city.

Start calling up the high schools and asking how many refugees they are accepting, and then come back and tell me if i'm lying.

Commenting that he is an alleged Billionaire is not jealousy of his money. It's a comment on the veracity of his claims. And clearly as you indicated you aren't stepping it up.
What are we gonna do now? Taking off his turban, they said, is this man a Jew?
'Cause they're working for the clampdown

We do know the numbers. The number of refugees is set at a cap of 10,000 currently. Clinton is proposing to raise it to 65,000. The population is what 300 million?

Its why Trump uses percentages. He knows the actually number is tiny so he hides that fact with his 650%!!!!!! spiel.

The ghetto areas have always looked like that. The gentrified areas and upper class areas still look like that. The main change I saw was basically increase in buildings. Its not "The middle east" and you know it. Its also one of the larger cities in Texas, so even accepting a few hundred refugees isn't going to change the cities makeup. In addition, the culture there is entirely too strong and stubborn to be changed. "Keep Austin Weird' is a thing said proudly, and UTexas is the main mover and shaker. I have never seen a city more obsessed with an amphibian (Barton Springs Salamander).

Do not spout falsehoods about my hometown. Dallas an Ft Worth have accepted similar amounts, and we're fine.

What is the issue with it being a sanctuary city? Philadelphia's population is less than 10% Hispanic and less than .5% Mexican. If it is getting worse because of its status as a sanctuary city, must be our neighbors to the north ruining it.

Only around 4% of refugees have found jobs in germany and they let in a lot more than 65,000. What is clinton going to do once the refugees get here? Who's supporting them? I sure as hell don't want my money supporting people who aren't supporting themselves.

On domestic issues the Sanders Revolution won a resounding victory. Hillary definitely DID NOT pivot to the right with her speech. It was far more Sanders-like than I dreamed possible.

On war/foreign policy issues: Sanders and Hillary are both more hawkish than I would like. I hope that Trump hits them from the left and talks about bringing our troops home, and I hope he trumps them on veteran's benefits issues by offering veterans as much as or preferably more than what Hillary is doing.

Support our troops - bring em home and pay em well for the service they gave to our country.

as i've said before, get mad.

apparently my state actually IS a battleground state, so every vote helps a small amount. i've got three people i can take to the polls with me, that's 4 trump votes. it's not much, but at least i can say i tried and got others to try as well.
