You can't dry it, you have to remove it and the carpet padding then throw it away.

    Parquet is pretty dated.

There's parquet under the carpet. That's generally how we roll around here, have parquet on top of which we pile carpets.

Yes, in the end that's what she did. I hope it worked... we'll see the results in a few weeks I think.

She owns it. I later understood that it means it's called a condo, so my bad.

This is actually the best idea! In Romania there's a law stating that you need to have house insurance, so everyone does! Good call, I forgat about that! Thank you!

    Ok, will tell her that.

Only way you would get mold is if you left it for days without trying to dry it. I had a washing machine spring a leak and soak my bathroom before. As long as you don't just let it sit and keep air flowing to help dry it she should be fine.

You should have seen my aunt and uncle's bathroom before they got it renovated. xD Whoever lived in their house before was totally nuts and had carpeting throughout their bathrooms. It was soooo gross!

Yes, I actually tore a piece of the carpet out a few month ago to go back to hard flooring.

Mold happens when you let shit sit. If you help it dry faster mold is a rare thing.

Old lady had the place before I did. Hard floors were "too cold for her feet"

That doesn't happen here, so maybe it's a difference in climate. Here, mold sets in within hours.
