pvp/pve?
cuz u dont mastery in pvp anymore. personal pref pvp is crit, haste, versa
arnt those for pre-patch only? or are the priorities the same at 110?
Mastery is the worst until judgment can't be applied to 2+ targets baseline for AoE purposes
It depends, the only thing you can be sure of is that you want enough haste to have a smooth time with the Judgment debuff. For example, I just ran a couple of sims with a standard profile (it includes the 2 piece but not worth removing because that would mostly favour mastery and that still came out poorly) and 20 points on the Ashbringer, reasonable for pre-raid.
For single target with BoW, the stat weights were as follows:
Haste: 6.00
Vers 5.82
Crit: 5.57
Mast: 4.86
So haste certainly out in front. But that's with Blade of Wrath. All we need do is change it for Virtue's Blade, which sims the same overall DPS under those circumstances, and we get:
Crit: 5.89
Vers: 5.73
Haste: 4.95
Mast: 4.75
And changing the type of fight, little bits of gear, the state of the Ashbringer, to say nothing of some lgendaries, and the whole thing goes up in smoke. There simply is no universal stat priority. If people want to know their stat priority, they're going to have to start learning that it is personal to them and changes as they do.
There are people who really play Ret? I'd rather play without a Specc than with Ret...
versa and haste good luck competing with plate tanks rofl. On a sidenote rets gona become plate loot sponges grabbin anything before goin for de.
Other than that talent picks tend to affect one another since for example on tier 1 hitting ES on cd is of the essence and specially if someone picks conc then he should have to introduce a gcd for a non hopo spender that needs to have higher uptime than BoW for example or taking out the potential benefits of FoJ. Same goes if someone picks zeal then most probs the slower recovery of that generator and the prio it has may affect the uptime of BoW or w/e and VB can value higher specially if that couples with free procs from DP that gotta be dumped... Seems everyone will have to sim the char on an encounter per encounter basis and according to gear and talent picks to find out what suits the toon most.
Anyways Sol has posted some sims run for sanity check and there we can see the rise of certain talent picks that work well together for a set of gear with given secondaries. Problem is to make a proper set for every encounter and top them with the particular secondary stats and their soft caps (let alone ashbringer progression) needs quite some time and processing power.

It can do, but generally at high haste levels. Taking BoW and FoJ means the shortest cooldown versions of both abilities. If that means your rotation is too rapid and you're leaving either BoW off cooldown or having two charges of Crusader Strike too often, then it may be worth switching.
