It was confusing doing it for the first time and I did a lot of useless quest. Later on it got better and on my second char I skipped everything which wasn't essential.

Theme wise I'm enjoying it a lot. 1000 x over Orc stuff any day.

I love the visuals and the design of Suramar City. It makes me a bit sad, because Silvermoon is nothing compared to it. Or any other capital in WoW. So it makes a lot of promises for future content.

The questing is mainly a positive experience, with bit of frustrating here and there.

So all in all a very good experience, love it Also because I'm not in the "competitive crowd" I can take my sweet time and do the things on my own pace

there is nothing experimental in Suramar, Timeless Isle is worthy to be called an experiment, obviously a failed one.

the map design (interconnectivity) is mediocre, just take Dark Souls as rolemodel, grafx may be WoWs best, but again: take ancient Dark Souls/Blade and Soul etc as comparision and see ur micropillar decline. the questlines and Suramar-specific WQs r repetetive, the rep-grind is as usual tedious and the fantasy is (on the aspect of lore) just shamelessly ridiculous - like broken shore in general.

no, i dont feel different about Suramar, its the Same As It Ever Was (which btw is fine 4 me, i dont expect blizzard to be Avantgarde or innovative, such behemoth just cant anything else than conservative design, but what does this tell us about fanboism?)...
    Go play Dark Souls then?

Just dont run around like a fool, keep killing 1 boss over and over. They give 5% and have few sec respawn.

I've always been a huge fan of the elven races in WoW so Suramar, Aszuna and Val'sharah are to me the zones that really stand out in this expansion.

Suramar as a zone I'm not that impressed by (the underground tunnels look really nice even if filled with atrocious spider-elf mutants) with the exception of Moon Guard Hold, unfortunatly one cannot properly experience and appreciate the Hold because it's full of Nightborne

I do like however that Blizzard hasn't given us a proper city in years (They basically destroyed Kezan, Gilneas isn't used outside of the intro quests and Fangs of the Father - Warspear/Stormshield are massive bases but not cities and Bladespire Citadel/Karabor were scrapped) and then they deliver us Suramar City. This is quite literally, to me, alongside the Emerald Dream and parts of Val'sharah the actual marvel of Legion from an artistic point of view. It's breathtaking, wonderfully done and it's completely explorable even if the stealth-detection mobs make it difficult, especially in the elite area.

The elite area is also my biggest gripe with the city at the same time. I know it's meant to be for more difficult content but the amount of stealth detection and absolute bullshit that you need to deal with in that section has made me want to punch a puppy several times.

The gating behind rep doesn't bother me that much but the amount of rep you get could stand to increase slightly - if only by a small margin. 50-150 rep for world quests feels so little, not to mention doing the Kirin Tor WQs gives 1500 for everything else while only giving 750 for the Nightfallen.

Soon I became angry at Blizzard for gating the dungeons, flying and tons of AP behind the worst zone in the history of wow

Towards the end of the grind I became resigned to the fact this is what wow is now and it's do it or quit playing

Now after unlocking the dungeons I don't think about it too much since never need to go back save when it's emissary quests. One sad thing is though that on alpha testing I absolutely loved Nighhold for its looks, now it will just remind me of Suramar and that magical feeling is gone forever.
"Give me everything instantly without me having to do anything", yeah wonder why we havent' been able to have nice things in the past. Glad they ignored such whiners this time around and provided a truly epic experience in Suramar.

I would love the city more if I could fully enjoy it. But it's pretty much a game of cat and mouse once you go in there and that pretty has left a bitter taste. Mildly annoying that a little lag can be the difference between getting past a guard and getting discovered. Fortunately I can go prot for the area, I don't know how non-tank classes get by.

One I get the needed rep, I don't expect to go back there. Though I imagine Blizzard will find a way to tie more things to it.

Just another ugly zone. A bit annoyed with the rep, but I got enough to do world quests, that's all I really need. The rest will come when it comes.

The highest compliment I can give it is that it made me feel like I was playing an actual MMO again, back in the very early 2000s, and that is a really, really good feeling to evoke.

Some of the other zones have evoked that feeling too.

I feel really sorry for the people who can't see the beauty and awesomeness, just the grind. Sad.

The zone is beautiful and i enjoyed the main questlines, finding all the ley stations etc, the way the rep and the two dungeons are gated behind world quests (can't even complete their emissary today because the only wq I have left is for the fucking Wardens or a shitty pet battle one) reminds me that drinking bleach is more fun.

Good thing Suramar World Quests pop up twice a day then! That and if you are lacking World Quests in the first wave of the day in Suramar, you're way behind on rep.

I liked it at first, but right now I prefer doing world quests in other areas. Once the story quests dried out its just another grind, and the city parts with the masquerade are quite annoying.

I might actually have a reason to login later then.

I didn't know this for the first 1,5 week of this expansion. But you can jump into the baskets and re-mask yourself and you'll be good to go again. There's also some grapples that might be able to save you. I do think the elite area of Suramar City is a bit over the top though and even as a tank I sometimes have trouble surviving there because the demon anti-mask shit just casts too quickly and its range is too big.

Suramar has an underground section? Other than the Fel Hold or Faranaar? I certainly hope it isn't like the above ground city area filled with guards.
Withered Army Training is something I really enjoyed. Too bad I completely finished (all upgrades) on my fourth run even though I haven't read up on anything about it at all. Until no more chests popped up for me, then I did some research and apparently I finished it. Now it's basically rush through it for 400 score to get the max rep and instantly leave.

It's kind of a letdown, really. They could've easily implemented some endless scaling for it, give mobs +5% health/damage every time you finish it (probably needs more than that) and let the rewards give you 5% more rep/AP as well. It'd still be kinda boring but at least some sort of a challenge.

I think it's really cool that every time I go there there's lots of new stuff I haven't seen or discovered before, and it's been a while. I wonder though without the disguise if there would be as much mystery though. I'm not the biggest fan of stealth as I suck at it so I'm hoping that there will be some aspect of Suramar that opens up that I can enjoy without disguise.

Twice a day? I thought that they spawn new ones on reset (9am) and every 4 hours from then on. Might be wrong, though, and don't remember where i read this. Anyone got a source on this?

I like the zone. But hate the damn city.

The disguise mechanic is annoying and very aggravating. If you get caught out at ANY point while in there, your dead. There is 0 ways you can live.

And with only 1 graveyard, the walking around trying to understand the map is annoying also.

Apart from that though, I've had fun with it.

I'm not sure honestly. I believe world quests spawn at 3AM/PM and 9AM/PM, but I thought the Suramar ones only spawn at the 9AM/PM ones. I'm definitely not 100% sure about it, though. Either way he'll easily be able to get the cache without having to do a dungeon for it.
