    Chocolate Rain
Some stay dry and others feel the pain
    Chocolate Rain
A baby born will die before the sin

    Chocolate Rain
The school books say it can't be here again
    Chocolate Rain
The prisons make you wonder where it went

    Chocolate Rain
Build a tent and say the world as dry
    Chocolate Rain
Zoom the camera out and see the lie

    Chocolate Rain
    Forecast to be falling yesterday
    Chocolate Rain
Only in the past is what they say

    Chocolate Rain
    Raised your neighborhood insurance rates
    Chocolate Rain
Makes us happy 'livin in a gate

    Chocolate Rain
Made me cross the street the other day
    Chocolate Rain
Made you turn your head the other way

    (Chorus)
    Chocolate Rain
History quickly crashing through your veins
    Chocolate Rain
Using you to fall back down again
    [Repeat]

    Chocolate Rain
    Seldom mentioned on the radio
    Chocolate Rain
It's the fear your leaders can't control

    Chocolate Rain
Worse than swearing, worse than calling names
    Chocolate Rain
Say it publicly, and you're insane

    Chocolate Rain
No one wants to hear about it now
    Chocolate Rain
Wish real hard it goes away somehow

    Chocolate Rain
Makes the best of friends begin to fight
    Chocolate Rain
But did they know each other in the light?

    Chocolate Rain
    Every February washed away
    Chocolate Rain
    Stays behind as colors celebrate

    Chocolate Rain
The same crime has a higher price to pay
    Chocolate Rain
The judge and jury swear it's not in the face

    (Chorus)

    Chocolate Rain
    Dirty secrets of economy
    Chocolate Rain
    Turns that body into GDP

    Chocolate Rain
The bell curve blames the baby's DNA
    Chocolate Rain
But test scores are how much the parents made

    Chocolate Rain
Flippin' cars in France the other night
    Chocolate Rain
Cleans the sewers out beneath Mumbai

    Chocolate Rain
'Cross the world and back it's all the same
    Chocolate Rain
Angels cry and shake their heads in shame

    Chocolate Rain
Lifts the ark of paradise in sin
    Chocolate Rain
Which part do you think you're 'livin in?

    Chocolate Rain
More than marchin' more than past and law
    Chocolate Rain
Remake how we got to where we are

In vanilla we could just disable the rain. I don't know why they removed the option.

I don't want them to take rain, fog effects, and night time away from you folks with healthy eyes, but it's something that causes discomfort for people like me.

Just let us turn it off. It seem so simple.

What are people acting like they've never seen rain? Go sit in Stranglethorn and just wait for a while.

I love watching thunderstorms roll into Halfhill. The first time it happened, I was mesmerized. It felt organic and made the world feel alive.
Nameless hunter pets make me rage. You have been warned.

I know there is, and in many more zones, but although it now seems much more "cinematic" and better quality effects, this old rain just painted a scenario of raining cats and dogs.

I wonder if the vanilla ppl want this.

The dynamic rain and snow storms of Classic World of Warcraft are so much better than the static 'drizzle' effect we get in Stormheim and other zones.

Also, night is still not night.

Weather causes an issue with some computers? I haven't had a top of the line computer in my entire WoW career and I've never noticed a problem

    I don't like rain.

It doesn't create immersion for me, instead it brings me back to reality, same with snow. I HATE snow. In the game, it's a lot harder for me to see anything, same with darkness.

Then again, my visually favorite zones are the green and open ones

An option to toggle off/on weather effects is something Blizzard could consider

Yeah, real rain maybe, but the general depiction of rain in games/comics/even movies (I mean, remember Matrix?) is not transparent at all, this is why we're quite longing for it.

I wish there was real weather effects. Like serious rainstorms etc. And the nights need to be ALOT darker.

Has NO ONE on entire Blizzard EVER BEEN OUTSIDE during the night? They seem completly oblivious to what darkness looks like...

yes and it's absolutely horrible you can't see shit. Maybe I'm weird but I don't care about darker nights or weather effects since I don't really pay attention to that kind of thing.

If I remember correctly, they removed the dynamic weather when they did the old world zone changes in Cataclysm.

Knowing the kind of people that play Retail, thousands of them probably complained to Blizzard that it got their toons wet thus causing them great grief. They recommended to add Kung Fu Pandas and Pokemon to the game instead.

The rest is history as they say.

It was funny how the vanilla rain was anchored to player coordinates as opposed to world coordinates, if the player jumped the origin of the rain would too

Having played in Vanilla when this was active, I can honestly say that I have no idea why it was removed. I can only guess that some players disliked it and Blizzard couldn't be bothered to find a middle ground for those that did like it, instead choosing to all but remove it.

I was not a huge raider in vanilla, but I never once heard of any Zul'Gurub raids being cancelled because of the rain, or even complaining about it. Also, personally I did not experience these massive frame rate drops people are talking about (and my computer was garbage back then) even with weather maxed out, and I had no difficulty in being able to see around me when it did rain. In the video that was linked here, you can see very clearly IMO. The only area that even got close to hampering visibility was Stranglethorn Vale, but even then it wasn't all that bad.

I miss the weather effects, and I certainly haven't forgotten they existed. My two coins.
